I attended the Dierks Bentley concert on June 16, 2017. During the show, I went to get beverages for myself and friends I had with me. Upon trying to return to my seat I was blocked and told I could not sit down. This lasted for about 30min. 30min of a show lasting 1 1/2 hr, is a considerable chunk of the show I paid for and was not allowed to see. I was left holding three beers which, in the Florida June heat, were warm by the time I was able to sit down. As I understand an $80 "seat license", as long as I am not causing problems or vandalizing the venue, I have the right to come and go to that seat as I see fit. I have been to many shows at the Amp, but have never had this happen. I have also tried to email the venue with no response at all, hence this review. If someone would like to contact me it would be appreciated and I would be more than happy to revisit the review.

My wife and I along with our daughter and her husband attended the Earth, Wind and Fire/Chicago concert last night. The concert was fabulous and I have no complaints with the sound system or the people who worked there; they were very helpful and courteous. The venue was run, however, like a Chinese fire drill. The parking setup was atrocious and after the concert (sellout crowd), getting out of the parking lot and on the road was ridiculous and took over a half hour. There are no signs directing you anywhere. Getting into the stadium area was a mess. We were shuttled from line to line and back again even with VIP passes. Once in, however, things were great. It looks like what they need is nothing more than a good manager who knows how to plan and set up these kinds of events and the complaints about this place would be greatly reduced.

This place is an awful to see a concert. Saw Tim McGraw there last night. Parking is a long walk to the theater and in our case, a long walk through drunks and trash who were tailgating all day. I am all for having a good time, but the parking lot was disgusting and as we walked to the theater through trash, it poured down rain. No where to take cover, so 90% of the concert goers were drenched when the concert started. Once we got undercover, we thought we were safe, but no. The roof leaks and our entire row continued to get wet throughout the concert. We paid $200 for two tickets and the couple next to us were practically having sex in the seat next to my husband. No one monitors the place for bad behavior. On the walk back to our car, we got to walk through mud and more trash. Never again.

Went for NBT which was a concert series that lasted all day. Got off of the highway and it took an hour to get into the fairgrounds. Only one of the 3 main gates was open for car traffic. After to finally reaching the entrance there were only 3 of the 5 lanes open to pay for parking. Also found out that the gun show was also taking place the same day at the fairgrounds. The fairgrounds staff should have known to have more gates open and more staff moving traffic because of the high traffic volume for this all day event. We missed two of the bands we wanted to see because of the poor management. To make matters worse, when we finally got a parking spot we were able to see they had opened a second gate that we had passed about 30 minutes prior while we were stuck in traffic. Ruined the whole day.

Called Live Nation today about Depeche Mode concert on Wednesday Sept 13th to see if will be cancelled. No answer to my question. The US Government and the Governor of Florida have declared a state of emergency for ALL of Florida. Live Nation seems not to agree. This is an outdoor venue during a hurricane. My hotel and airline have sent me messages about issuing a credit for use at another time. There is a shortage of gas and water all through the state (I live in Pensacola). This will be the largest storm to hit Florida on record. Live Nation needs to be more concerned about its patrons and being a responsible company at a time of crisis and cancel/reschedule the show. Even if the show can go on, how is the band going to move its equipment to the next show (traffic and fuel issues)

I have been to this venue several times and it is always the same. All the vocals and music mix together for horrible sound. This is not an Amphitheatre of any kind. It is the equivalent of sitting in a pit lined with trailers. All that metal causes horrible reverberation with tin effect. Most would assume that having an outdoor event in Florida would be a good idea but most of the time, it is way too hot. Rain is inevitable and after it stops, it is the like sitting in a sauna. Mix weather, horrible sound and how far it is away from anything and it is enough for me never to go back. The Amalie Arena/St Pete Times Forum/Tampa Bay Times Forum/Ice Palace has far better sound. Push to have artist perform there instead.

Love the fresh open air of this theater. Sound quality is good no matter where you sit. I like that you can buy a soda in a cup with ice and get a free refill. Parking and leaving are orderly and easy, unless you get retarded guests with no respect that insist on walking in the middle of the driveway refusing to let cars by. I like that they have security, bag checks and metal detectors, even if manual to ensure safety. Some walk through ones would be better. Staff is always courteous and polite coming and going, wishing everyone a good night. Much appreciation to the happy, polite staff. Keep up the good work.

Fairly good. The beverage prices were absolutely ridiculously expensive. I dont go to many venues, so having to pay 15 dollars for a large beer put me off. I will most likely be prepared not to buy drinks at the venue if I ever go to another concert there. Perhaps, if prices were cheaper more sales would happen. Or perhaps you discourage alcohol with these prices. The seats were nice, the sound was great. The amount concert staff was reassuring. Although, there was a bottle neck waiting to go through security. Perhaps more metal wands operating to get people through security.

Had tickets to Luke Bryan concert last night. Concert started at 7:00pm. At 6:30 I was less than 2 miles from the venue where I sat in traffic until 9:00pm. I was so close I rolled the windows down on my truck and could listen to the music but me along with hundreds of other people that never made it in. People were leaving there cars and walking. Finally I gave up, and because I drive a 4-wheel drive truck was able to cut across a grass medium and came home. Never will I try to attend a concert at that place, it was a joke. $300.00 in tickets down the drain.

Went to the Journey concert Friday night. We followed the electronic signs on the highway which directed us to exit on MLK. Once we waited about an hour in the long line to get to the gate, we were informed that it was premier parking and the cost was $35. There were no signs indicating this was premier parking or that there was a $35 fee. On top of that, cash was the only option. This is entrapment and extortion. Every car in that line was trapped and, at that point, had no other way to enter. NEVER AGAIN will I go to a concert at this venue. BEWARE!!!!!!

We came to see Journey and had a great time. The food the drinks all good. staff was very nice. But it was hot. They could buy a couple of fans from the Big Ass fan company. It would have made it a little more comfortable. And security could have walked the aisles and helped with the really drunk people. We had a woman behind us that should have been cut off from the alcohol 3 drinks back she gave a few people a bad experience. But great place. I will come back again.

Went to the Dave Mathews Concert last night and I thought the sound quality sucked and the crowd spent more time walking around than actually watching the show. If you got up from your seat to go to the restroom you would have to run someone off when you got back. Security unable or unwilling to control the crowd . Parked in a mud hole and almost had to put in 4 wheel drive to get out. Overall I would say that I will not be back.

Way overpriced. Parking was a nightmare. Trying to leave was like navigating a maze blind no exit arrows or signs and a bunch of long roads leading to nowhere but dead end gates blocking the way. Titos, crown royal and a bottled water = $44 before tip. Bought expensive "box" seat tickets, they were just seats next to DJ booth on ground level in general seating. Got into the pit area front row didnt even check for wristbands.

The amphitheater is great to have concerts there. My wife and I have attended many live concerts at MidFlorida Crédit Union Amphitheater, from rock bands to R&B to country music. I think the sound is good for concerts. There are seats and lawn for relaxation. There are stands for food and drinks, they definitely have different varieties of beers and mixed drinks to serve. We always have fun there.

BEWARE::::: We attended the Doobie Brothers and Journey concert that Live Nation put on. The parking at this event was a disaster the county sheriff made everybody park what ended up being a 50 min walk in the rain to the show. I complained to the sheriff they said to talk to Live Nation they are running the event "NOBODY TO TALK TO WALK OR GO HOME " . GOOD LUCK going to any event here ...........

Good seating set up and views of the stage. Security takes seat thieves and drunks out quickly. But there are alot of drunks screaming and staggering around. Sound was good but not good enough to drown out the drunken maniacs unfortunately. Parking is not great and you can expect to take a long time to exit. Parking staff is outstanding though and truly trys to make it as smooth as possible.

This place sucks very very very bad. When a concert comes they will move you out of grass seating to the seats as a free upgrade because they did not sell enough tickets. They try to make it look like a packed house. If I wanted your hard plastic seats I would have paid for one, but I prefer to sit in grass and yall forced me to move. Worst concert venue in the south.

Drink prices increase each time we attend a concert... Took an Uber and had to be dropped at entrance, as they would not allow them to drop off. Walking through vehicles driving through etc. I feel this is just disciplining the responsible and a major safety hazard. They should have a designated location for taxi/uber etc. we always enjoy lawn seating.

Saw Steely Dan last year. Had backstage passes to meet with an old friend of 45 years who is Steelys production manager. All went well but the back stage security people would not let us backstage to say goodbye to my friend after the show. Sound was great but the back stage security people need to be a bit more respectful of friends of the band.

The sound is poor quality because of the cars on the interstate on one side of the arena, sucking the sounds away with them as they fly by, and the neighbor hoods on the other side that complain about too much noise. One mixed drink cost $15. The parking is too far from the entrance unless you pay a lot of extra money for premier parking.

Saw Incubus here in Sept 2011. The beer was pretty expensive ($11 for a big can). The parking was free and not too far of a walk -- getting out of the parking lot after the show was ridiculous though. Seating was good - we had box seats and could see the stage nicely. Bathrooms were clean, security people were helpful. I enjoyed the show.

Came for the Doobie Brothers, Journey, and Dave Mason concert. Dave and the Doobies were fantastic. Sound was amazing, everything. Journey sound crew needs some epic lessons on how to not have them perform. Everything was way too loud, especially guitar and vocals. Drinks were more pricey than expected.... Get drunk in the parking lot.

Parking is absolutely ridiculous. No signage and traffic was backed up everywhere. Complete chaos. Noone knows where they are going and no employees to provide answers. Herd behavior at its finest. When we were still in our car an hour and a half after the show started we decided to cut our losses and return home. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
