Summary: First time home buyer that had an incredible experience with The Heckman Group. Highly recommend working with them and will work with them for every home I purchase in the future. I was a first time home buyer that had heard from friends that the home loan process was a nightmare. I initially thought I wanted to go with the bank that I deal with for my personal finances, but I was referred to The Heckman Group via my realtor. He was raving about their amazing communication and ability to expedite the process with complete guidance along the way. I contacted them via their website and within a phone call or two, I had a pre-approval letter in hand for a reasonable home loan. Once the seller of my new house accepted my offer, The Heckman Group took charge. Kristina, Joe, and Lynne walked me through every step of the process and made sure to tell me exactly what documents I needed to provide at what time. They were incredibly willing to answer the thousand questions that I had and were so patient with me. They were up-front with every cost that was going to be charged at closing and they were able to save me thousands when it came to the final closing cost total. I truly could not have asked for a better process or a better team. I have referred my brother and sister-in-law over to them because of the great job they did for my mortgage. Thank you for helping me get into a great home!

The Heckman group was referred to me by a friend to deal with when searching for a home mortgage for my first home purchase. He said they were extremely easy to work with and had great communication, and they overall took very good care of him throughout the whole purchasing process. I closed on my first home today, and I can honestly say that despite my high expectations when calling for the first time, Brian and his team blew me away with the level of service and commitment they showed me throughout this journey. Not only were they extremely professional in every aspect, (and extremely proactive with their communication and walking me through everything) they were also extremely friendly - I honestly feel like I made some friends over at Success! If you are looking to buy a home in the Tampa area, give the Heckman group a call; I am sure they will take excellent care of you as well. After reading the reviews and reaching out, Carena at the Heckman Group responded and provided top notch service from application to closing. She was able to refer a great realtor, Mike DiGiovanni, who grew up in the area we were looking. She answered all my questions, kept me updated at each stage of the process, and responded quickly to emails or phone calls. Service is what sets mortgage companies apart and this was an excellent experience. I will use them in the future and highly recommend anyone looking to do the same.

My experience working with Brian Heckman with a mortgage loan was very good. He provided information that was needed in a professional courteous manner. Had a great experience at the time I purchased my first house. One year later, I find that my escrow payment was extremely underestimated. Success Mortgage, who the Heckman Group works with, had estimated my property tax to be almost $3,000 less, resulting in an end of the year escrow shortage that I now have to pay up front to my new mortgage company (who Success sold it to). I sent an email explaining my situation to the Heckman Group 3 days ago and have not received a response. I am very disappointed.
