Professional, knowledgeable, and tenacious. These three words summarize what I want from a mortgage broker, and this is what I received by contacting Michael Shotnik with Colorado Mortgage. Michael and his team assisted my wife and I in the purchase of our newly-built home. We contacted Michael about 8 months away from closing to make sure we put all the pieces in place early on. Michael was able to guide us in the right direction and confirm that our preparation was on-target. As we approached our anticipated closing date, our loan nearly fell through on a couple of occasions due to constantly changing circumstances and time lines on a new build home. At each step, Michael kept me informed and calm and we worked together to resolve the last-minute issues that arose. We finally closed on our home as scheduled. Michael even took the time to meet us at the closing table to ensure everything went smoothly. On another note, my wife and I are very busy professionals and have very little time to meet with people. Michael has the systems in place to not waste any of our time by having to FedEx documents back and forth or other outmoded forms of communication. We did almost everything online, by email and by phone, which made this process so much easier for us. Thanks again Colorado Mortgage. Three words sum the experience with Colorado Mortgage - professional, honest, efficient. Jen and Melissa managed all aspects of the loan process with grace and speed. If I had questions, I would receive a call or email back very quickly. Loan options and terms were clearly explained as well. This was a wonderful process - you will never feel like you are just a "number" with these folks. The technology used in loan process is great for the borrower as well - everything is kept in a secure online portal and allowed for an easy time sending documents quickly. The portal also does a great job of showing the progress of loan underwriting and gives instant feedback when Jen and Melissa review and approve documents. This provided great peace of mind that my loan was being actively "worked" and not just sitting in a file somewhere. The combination of great people and great technology made this by far the easiest and quickest loan experience I have ever had. Why would anyone use another company? Colorado Mortgage and Michael Shotnik are best! This is the second time we had the pleasure of working with Michael, and would recommend him and his team to anyone we know.
