Lauren Johnson is a needle in a hay stack. We live in a cyber world where every new and experienced young attorney can make himself or herself seems like a super star buy buying a fancy website. Unfortunately, most people who are thrust into our criminal justice system are not well equipped to find the best criminal defense lawyer with little time before arraignment. Hence, they are sucked into glamorous websites built by inexperienced attorneys selling experience they do not possess. Then comes Lauren Johnson. She is an experienced, committed and successful criminal defense attorney who knows the laws,knows the science, knows the prosecutors and knows the judges. She is well equipped to walk into ANY courtroom and take on a serious case. I have watched her over the years and been in awe of her accomplishments in the courtroom. She is dynamic and committed. She gets results. Those of us - her colleagues - hold her in high regard. If you are seeking an excellent and successful attorney, look no further.

I was referred by Legal Aid to Ms. Johnson for a family law matter. Her assistant informed me that I needed to obtain the latest court report, then she would schedule a consult for $475! I was informed by Legal Aid that the consult would be free. After I explained this to her office, I was informed that the consult would be free but follow-up time would be full-fee. I am not clear why Legal Aid has her as a pro bono or sliding scale attorney; she is not. I hope her office demonstrates the honesty and integrity to remove themselves from the Legal Aid referral list, as she is a full-fee attorney. Due to Legal Aid only giving three referrals at a time, it was a waste of time and effort. The issue here is the integrity and honesty of her office. I cannot comment on how good her actual services are as I would never dream of retaining her.
