I awoke yesterday to a very cold house. My furnace decided that it did not want to work. After much research, I called Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating at 11:30 am. All of my information was taken in that initial call and passed to dispatch. Dispatch called back at 11:44 am to tell me my window for a technician to arrive was between noon and 2 pm. At 12:19 pm I received another call to tell me Bryan was on his way. Bryan arrived within 30 minutes. Before I proceed further, that process of connecting the customer and the service personnel impressed me with the type of company Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating is by keeping the customer in the "loop". Kudos to the management and office staff for having the environment that makes the customer important. True to form, my furnace started right up once Bryan arrived. Restarting it over again, he could not make it fail. He explained many of the things that it could have been, but would not "go chasing" anything, given the current situation, but to keep their number handy, just in case. I found Bryan to be personable and very knowledgeable. He explained my furnace and the possible problems it could have been at a level I could understand. He never talked at me or over my head, but always talked to me making sure that I was understanding. I was very impressed with the entire process and would recommend Bear Valley Plumbing & Heating for plumbing and heating needs; and would not hesitate to call them again, when my need arises.

Called initially because mice had chewed the wire to the igniter switch on our water heater. In the meantime, DWP came by to let us know we had a leak somewhere in our galvanized pipe water system - found the leak in a shut-off ball valve in a box in the ground and shut the water off. We got a return call from Rebecca at BVP&H who let us know that Brian S. was on the way. When he arrived, he took a look at both situations and gave me a total price for both jobs. He took care of the galvanized pipe/valve replacement right away so we could turn the water back on, then replaced the spark ignition wire in the water heater, lit the pilot and tested the unit. Very friendly, professional and efficient - highly recommended.

My first experience was my new home in Big Bear Lake in June with Quinten & Bryan. In one day they replaced my water heater, outside hose bib, and repaired wall and insulation in the water heater closet that was causing pipes to freeze and chipmunks to get in under my bathtub. Then, the day before Thanksgiving my tenant said there was a leak in their cabin. I was able to stop the leak by shutting off the water. I called BVP&H around 11am. They were busy, but Quinten made it out just after noon. He had to open up the wall to get to the leak, but by 6pm Brian had all of the plumbing repairs done with fans going to try and dry out the wall and floors.

Bryan did a great job investigating the cause of a tank-less water heater failure at our home in Big Bear City. He explained each step as he went along in a very clear and concise manner. After completing several troubleshooting steps and maintenance procedures, he was able to determine the cause of the failure. He then went over the various options as to how to deal with the situation and we were able to decide on the best course of action. Bryan acted in a very professional manner throughout and I feel comfortable knowing that we are doing business with a top-notch organization.

Outstanding, professional service. We had a problem with our home heating unit. They came during the time window they said they would, and they quoted accurately all the proposed work/service charges beforehand. Most importantly, the serviceman, Quentin, was very knowledgeable about his job, and he had the right tools and equipment to accomplish the job the first time, on the first visit. He was also extremely professional, and took care not to track dirt into the house by using shoe covers; this was impressive, and appreciated! Overall, EXCELLENT value for the price.

Quentin was polite, very considerate and kept me informed throughout the repair of the heater. Not only did he fix the problem he told me if we had any other issues no matter what time all we had to do is call and they would be here to take care of us. The problem was the heater went out and it was 20 degrees outside this was quite an emergency I was very pleased with Quentin and his company the response was very quick and he spent sufficient time making sure that everything was okay before he left. The heating system in our house was not working. We looked in the Big Bear Yellowbook and selected Bear Valley Plumming & Heating. Called the number. The return call came within 15 mins. A service person came within a hour. The next day Jeremy and Jeff came on time. The price $ 2980 for replacement of heater unit complete. Because of the weekend had to wait until Tuesday to install, but Jeff did a very professional and compete job. Overall Bear Valley Plummeting & Heating did a great job.

Brian was extremely professional and had a friendly demeanor. He was well prepared for what he came to do. I could be friends with this guy. He was confident in what he did and repaired everything that was concerning to us. I am not sure that I needed my tub, shower, dishwasher,hot water tank, toilets all checked. That was not the purpose of the service call;but that must be some kind of company policy, not that I agree with it. It is billed time I can ill afford.

Quentin was great. He fixed my shower quickly, was really polite and professional, and showed me a lot of extras like how to light my pilot light and where my gas shut off valves were. The price was a lot less than I expected, and there were no surprise extra charges - he told me exactly how much everything would be before doing anything and told me all of my options.
