My loan was sold from ChaseMortgage to Carrington less than a month ago and thankfully I quickly made my last payment with Chase before it transferred because I have had the worst experience with this company while trying to make my mortgage payment. First, their website is awful. You try and make a payment and add additional principal or escrow and it can not do that. You try and call customer service and you will be met with a customer service rep that uses the word "Ummm" more than any other word while dealing with you and still is not able to get you an acceptable answer (or any answer). The response to why their website is not accepting payments is "..the website is a little behind and will not be able to accept payments until the 6th, however if you would like to make a payment over the phone with the small additional fee we can do that right now.." Makes perfect sense. Please sell my mortgage back to a real lender. And cross your fingers that you do not get the extreme pleasure of speaking to Rep #08952 .. you may or may not get anywhere productive.

Worst Customer service. Like many people, we had fallen a month or so behind on our mortgage and were sent the customary paperwork to see if we could qualify for "Modification". Contrary to what the paperwork says, either nobody cares or checks the email address or the fax machine. We had to submit our pile of documents, including bank statements, pay stubs, ect. 4 times before they actually got the documents, and that was ONLY after finally getting an actual address to send them to physically. Once that happened, we received another notice that we needed to send more documents (of course), and when i called to inquire about where to send them, i was treated like a liar and laughed at when i said that we had sent documents in 3 times through their fabulous fax and email, only to have them "lost". If you can, refinance and get away from this company. They are only one step above blood sucking lawyers.

I had my Mortgage sold to them and they raised my bill by 175 dollars a month. I wish chase would of kept my loan, but I guess I will be going to a new bank this weekend to get a refinance my loan. They will stick you for every penny they can get so that they can draw interest on your Escrow accounts. I have a 100% paid on time on my credit history and they still want me to pay extra each month so that they can sit on more of my money. P.S. all of these 5 star reviews have to be written by there own company. It is sad that this company can stay in business and treat customers the way they do. If your loan just got sold to them run to another bank before they charge you ridiculous amounts of money.

Crystal Navarre and Katie Glade are two of the kindest most professional people I have ever encountered. They got me my mortgage at a rate I was very happy with. They were in constant contact with me letting me know what to expect next . I can not speak highly enough about them. A company is only as good as its employees. My loan got sold to carrington from chase. We recently did a re-finance for a lower interest rate and went through Mike Flynn. Great guy! Super knowledgeable and available. We had a little hiccup at the end regarding closing cost. Mike worked magic with the title company and carrington helped pay for my closing. I was very surprised and relieved. I hope to keep my business with Carrington. Thank you!

The refi did not take very long at all and there were no surprises. I would definitely recommend Don and the rest of the Carrington staff that did a great job on my loan. This is a horrible company. One of my clients is a victim of ID theft and a Carrington Mortgage loan is reporting on his credit. He provided the FTC and police report to the bureaus and the company and they will not remove the item. Stay away from this company if you value your credit.
