In my 9 years of practicing real estate in Wausau WI, it was important that my buyers would have the best Home Inspector available when purchasing a home. I always like to recommend, honest, professional people and man was I impressed with Michael Carson. Michael performs a thorough inspection, collects data, analyzes findings and provides expert recommendations. He walks through the entire home explaining all his findings and takes the time to point out all the defects to the buyers. Weather a defect is major or minor it doesn’t matter. He explains preventive maintenance and provides insight on hiring a professional contractors to have them look into suspicious findings. At the end of the inspection Michael provides them with the link or cd to review their report. The report consist of areas of inspection with photos ,video clips and diagnostic information. He uses drones for inspecting high level roofs, infrared scanners for checking air leaks and other insulation issues, meters for measuring dampness, etc etc. These are just some of the tools he uses which produce a reliable report. Beware inspectors with a printout check list, they take no video or photos. Mike is the real deal and he has been in business for a very long time due to his outstanding service. My buyers always walk away feeling well informed on the condition of the home and if there are items to be negotiate on, they are armed with reliable data. Mike with Inspect It Right Home Inspections is personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable. We started with a pre-purchase inspection (which was very thorough) and ended with a home energy audit. It was amazing to be able to see exactly where the energy inefficiencies were in our home. Mike followed up the inspections by providing detailed reports, a variety of resources and realistic recommendations to make improvements. He also identified the Focus On Energy savings/rebates that we could use to offset some of the costs of making various improvements. I would highly recommend this inspector to anyone! Coming into this area from Chicago I was not sure what I was getting finding a home inspector online but this company does an amazing job!!! Mike spent a bunch of time reviewing the home with me, not only did he just inspect it for the fact I was buying it but provided great tips to a new home buyer about how to go about maint. on the property. His new age technology kept it very clean and neat and I felt good leaving with my book and CD so I could review the inspection step by step so at any time. He explained everything thoroghly and showed me why things were bad or will need maint.

Would rate zero stars if possible. Wanted an energy audit through Focus on Energy, called and left message 3 times, never received a call back. All other businesses associated with the program need the recommendation of Inspect-It-Right to do any work. Would definitely NOT recommend due to lack of professionalism in returning numerous messages/calls. Did not receive the courtesy of a call back to schedule an audit and left complaint with the Focus on Energy program.

I took a shot and contacted Mike wondering if he could find these files so that I could show the buyers.
