I met Ryan Smith at Waterstone Mortgage through a BNI networking group. I could immediately tell that he was absolutely willing to go the extra mile for me and my family. Ryan looked outside the box and found a more unconventional loan that better suited our needs. My wife and I had to place our trust in Ryan because we didn’t know anything about this type of a loan. From there Ryan and his team diligently kept track of our loan progress. They kept us up to speed in regards to the required documents and gave us weekly updates on our loan approval status. Even when disaster struck and the government shutdown and temporarily killed our government loan, Ryan and his team remained calm and helped us through the process. Today, my family and I are in the home of our dreams because Ryan thought outside the box. Ryan and his team at Waterstone Mortgage exceeded all of our expectations. We strongly recommend Ryan Smith and his team at Waterstone Mortgage to our family and friends and anyone in need of a mortgage.

If I could give this company a zero I would. Ryan Smith refused to return my realtors phone calls and lied to me about papers I already sent them. I jumped through multiple hoops to be able to close on time because Carol and Rebecca had no communication with me about what need to actually be done. I am in a union and was moved jobs and because of that they turned down my loan. After speaking with multiple mortgage companies I sent Waterstone enough proof that I am permanently employed. They continued to refuse my loan and required me to go through my bank for my loan. Stay far away from this company and go through your bank. They will hopefully treat you better than this company treated me.

Be careful who you talk to. Some of the team members, such as Ryan and Noelle, are helpful and civil, others are rather rude and will treat you with the utmost disdain, almost to the point of making you feel subhuman. It is completely unnecessary to be impolite to potential customers. Social tact is a valuable skill.
