I hired Jennifer when I realized my ex was an out of control narcissistic lying Pro Se who would stop at nothing to crush me financially and emotionally. I needed a tough and experienced attorney who could defend my interests. Jennifer was just perfect. She caught on with every little detail of my case early on and never stopped to amaze me. She is the right mix of tough and compassionate and was simply magnificent in court, with so much ease and poise. I did not always listened to her or liked what she had to tell me, but I realized early on that she was very realistic with potential outcomes, knowledgeable, very bright and relentless in her pursuit of justice for her clients. She was always right on. I was an emotional wreck during my 15 months ordeal, but Jennifer always sorted through feelings and facts gently and had my best interest at heart. She was available via email during business hours, but also at night and in weekends. Her team Kristina, Jessica and John were just wonderful to work with. My case got complicated with a bankruptcy filed by my ex, Jennifer never skipped a beat and was able to use it to my advantage. We went through numerous motions and hearings and even though there is never a real winner or loser in a divorce, Jennifer won every battle for me. The finale will always be unforgettable to me: After Jennifer finished a magnificent presentation while digging deep into the complex laws of bankruptcy, the judge scolded my ex, attacked his credibility, threatened him of sanctions and awarded me the house he had been trying to steal from me for years. This was just priceless. I ended up settling my case a week before trial due to financial reasons, but there is no doubt in my mind, that had I gone to trial, Jennifer would have won that last battle for me and the ex would have got what he deserved. I was in great hands through this painful process and would definitely recommend Jennifer and her team to anyone finding themselves in a highly contested divorce. She is simply the best. The downside is that her firm is very expensive, I did cringe at the 6 figures I had to spend, but I really got what I paid for, the best representation. She gave me my life back.

My case was handled by Brien Galbraith in the Seattle office of McKinley Irvin, with the very able assistance of his paralegal Joshua Dawson. The case has reached what may turn out to be a temporary conclusion. I have withdrawn my petition entirely of my own volition out of concern for the other party. It is very possible that I may reopen it in a few months as other events transpire, and I have every intention of continuing my relationship with Brien Galbraith in that event. My earliest contact with the firm was one of friendly professionalism; this extended to friendly and courteous reception staff, and the delightful lady who looks after the firms accounts, and continued always in this vein. Billing and fees were handled with professionalism and courtesy, and I regard as entirely reasonable in terms of work done and services rendered. Both Brien Galbraith and Joshua Dawson were good humored, compassionate and professional and always seemed available. In particular, my case involves necessary access to relationship details and health records of a very personal nature, and these details were handled at all times with delicacy and understanding. At the beginning of my contact with Brien Galbraith, full details of my health issues were still being uncovered, and I was just beginning a treatment of medication which took some months to settle, Brien Galbraith handled this with great understanding, and his advice I have found always to be very sound and most insightful. In summary, I am more than happy with the service that I have received from McKinley Irvin and Brien Galbraith. If and when I choose to reopen my case, I have no hesitation in placing myself in the hands of Brien Galbraith and his associates, and can only recommend the services of his firm with well merited praise of the highest order.

I am very lucky to have found Blake Hilty from McKinley Irvin. He is very professional but what impressed me the most was his ability to quickly recognize the issues and work to find constructive and practical solution to solve them. He worked very hard to get me the desired and reasonable outcome as permitted under the law without generating unnecessary legal fees. I could trust Blake for his good advice. He keeps up to date with changes in family law and studies the case in depth and most importantly uses the LEGAL LEVERAGE to build the case rather than using false accusations or raising petty issues to win a case. I would recommend him because he is honest, diligent and very sharp in his work. This is what you need to get protection or justice or win a case because Judges are very intelligent and they can decipher easily between the truth and lies. I was very happy with the outcome which was fair and reasonable and also felt that he wanted to save attorney fees for me all the time.

Susan Shulenberger is one of the best people I have ever worked with. She is both reasonable and fierce in the exact mix that is needed when dealing with parenting plans and division of assets. Divorce is never easy, so it is essential that you have someone you trust advising you. I refer every person I know facing divorce to Susan. Mckinly Irvin is located in downtown Seattle, and the office is welcoming and easy to access (even if you don’t like driving downtown!).

Overcharged and overrated. My attorney would not even return my calls. Then she charged me for calls that never happened. When I called to complain, she charged me for that call too. Completely unprepared when it came time sit down with my spouse and her attorney. Of course, we lost in court because we looked like fools compared to my wife’s team. I had to cancel my credit card because they kept charging it well after I fired the attorney. There are many good attorneys in Seattle, just not at McKinley Irvin.

Id have to look past the fact they did an good job being lawyers because I believe they purposefully juiced the life out of me financially, Un-necessary calls and showing interest with leading questions to make me talk more and charge more. it made me question all of the moves we made as if they knew they were dead ends... I dont think they care much about anything but getting as much money from you as possible.
