Tim is the man!!!!!! We have been customers for 3 or 4 years and came in for a review to check up on our insurance. Up to this point our service had been good and our coverage fine, but nothing exceptional. Tim was good enough to stay late, two hours after closing to meet our full schedule. As we sat down that night, Tim dug through our situation piece by piece and by the time we were through, we had doubled our coverage on our car and upped the coverage on our home adding sewer and earthquake insurance without any increase in current premiums. It was easy to see he had our best interest at heart and wanted to give us the best service possible. Seriously Tim, you did well.

We have been with Timothy Shanto for 8 years, we changed insurance because of the lack of communication between his office and our mortgage company. Then we cancelled our policy they still charged us $395.99 and said we will refund you that amount in 7-10 business days. This was on the 23rd. of this month still waiting for the refund we accrued over $200.00 in fees from our bank and he could care less. We where with them from his beginning, now we are treated like garbage. So much for loyalty. Not to mention we paid an extra $200.00 per month for insurance on our home since August last year.

When we moved to Spanish Fork in 2008 we met Tim Shanto as our local AmFam agent. Since then, we have been involved in a number of fender benders, have moved to Orem, and had our apartment flooded with sewage. Throughout, we have always experienced that as the clients, we came before the paperwork, and have felt very well taken care of during each of our many crises. Now that we are moving out of state, we are unfortunately forced to switch agents, but we highly recommend Tim and his agency to anyone in and around Utah County!

In the first 2 month American Family had 5 policy increase changes, I emailed Tim Shanto ,his response was once you paid the first premium it is my responsibility. I canceled my insurance with them. I received back my auto premium for the month. Tim would not return my home premium for the year. I contacted the regional office and that was the same attitude from Corporate. I had to start a complaint with the state to get my yearly premium back. Do not use American Family or Tim Shanto.

After letting him compare Auto and Home insurance, I found that I was totally uninsured and was being severely overcharged, he took the time to help me understand all the reasons for insurance and how it could effect my life. I would recommend this agency to anyone who is either paying higher than normal rates for auto or home insurance, or who is fed up with their current agent. At the beginning of the year we were shopping around to see what our options were and found them not only to be compatible but to be cheaper than a lot of the agencies. Along with the cheaper rates their customer care also put the icing on the cake for us to switch our home and auto insurance to them.
