We nearly lost the house we wanted because of a botched job at RanLife Home Loans working with a loan officer named Jesse Curtis. In the beginning, Jesse told us we would get a loan with certain options, which we were happy with and agreed to go forward with. However, just before the closing, he delivered a different loan to us. When we questioned the loan details, Jesse’s response was “oh I thought you were in love with the house so much that you don’t care what the loan is going to be” or "your real estate agent should of handled it this better." We should have seen this coming because as we were trying work through the paperwork, Jesse would avoid our phone calls or any other communication. Later, we heard from a different loan officer asking for paperwork (which Jesse had already collected), we asked the him questions and asked for a status. All he would say was he was only there to collect the paperwork and he would of not have done it the way Jesse was structuring it. He said we needed to talk to Jesse about it. This kind of communication and attitude from Jesse went on for over a month. In the end, we had to drop all of the work we did with RanLife Home Loans and went with Joshua Thomas at Academy Mortgage. Who finished the loan in two weeks with terms as promised! Jesse Curtis turned out to be not only be an inept loan officer but ended up costing us thousands in unnecessary taxes because he asked us to file our 2016 taxes in a certain way. We understood that we had unique financial circumstances with being a small business owner but the way Jesse handled the loan was unprofessional and negligent. I believe when any loan officer says that "you can always refi in a few months" that they have set you up with a terrible loan. In summary, Jesse Curtis is a HORRIBLE loan officer. Do not go pursue a loan with him, you will regret it!

When I was initially contacted by Arina about refinancing, I didn’t give it too much thought. At the time I was paying 6.4% and she informed me that I would be applying for a loan of 3.75%. Arina encouraged me to at least put in for it and see what happens. After submitting the different documents to be reviewed, she kept in contact with me. If I had a question about something, at no time did I feel like I was “bothering” her or that she didn’t have time to spend answering questions I had. She was always friendly yet very professional; she was awesome. When everything was said and done and I was approved, all that was needed was to sign the papers. I was contacted by the notary and a time was set to sign them. I have to say the experience I had with Ranlife and loan officer Arina was very pleasurable and didn’t hurt a bit; something I wasn’t too sure of when the initial phone call came asking if I considered refinancing. I’m glad Arina made the call. Yesterday I received a few things from Arina including some cards, scratch paper and a BBQ apron which I thought was a nice follow-up touch. Matthew, from the very beginning, was constantly keeping us up to date on our application. He was terrific! The process was easy as I think it could be. All applications etc. were online and at each phase or step we were completely informed of every document, what it meant, why it was needed and how to complete it. With everything already (or mostly) done, at the closing... a home visit from the Notary... went very smoothly. We already had our questions answered. We were sent all the documents we were to sign before the Notary came which gave us time to review them first. The Notary did not rush for signatures and was very helpful. This was the best and easiest refinance we have ever done. I highly and without reservation, recommend RANLife Home Loans.

Wit this being my first home purchase, the entire process was new to me and Kendall walked me through everything and explained every detail. She was flexible with my work hours taking us to look at homes in the evening and even on Sunday.
