I went to court to help support a friend and Spencer "Benny" Salcido was representing the other party. I felt bad for them because of how unprepared he was. I thought maybe it was just this case, but he was working on a case before us that we watched and it was the same situation. He was unprepared to handle both cases for the same reason it was a joke, not only that, but he upset the Commissioner because even he could tell he was unprepared. With as many lawyers there are in Utah, I would never give him my money to represent me based off what I saw in court. Save yourself time and money and find someone that has the time to prepare for your case and will keep your best interest in mind, because he certainly does not. After witnessing him in court I asked around to a lot of people and I found people who had also had bad experiences with him! Not only that, but his fees were higher then my friends lawyer that did a lot more work on the case. I would not recommend this law firm and Spencer "Benny" Salcido.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jon Hogelin of Salcido Law firm for a little over a year now. I had worked with other attorneys previously but never found "my attorney" until I worked with Jon. I can finally say this guy is my attorney! He went above and beyond with my case. He sometimes worked until midnight to hit dead lines and was attentive to detail. He knows his law very well and always had fantastic responses and arguments in court. Despite the fact that he is busy with other clients he still made me feel like I was his only client and made time to answer phone calls and respond to questions and concerns that I had. Jon is always well prepared for trial and really genuinely cares about the case. I would highly recommend Jon Hogelin to anyone and he is worth the money that I put into this case. With any case going forward I will use Jon and recommend him to others. This is definitely a rising star in the judicial world.

I had no idea of what to expect during a divorce or that it would be as high conflict as it was. Jon was very familiar with the unchartered and tumultuous waters I was dealing with. Throughout it all he was always helpful to answer any questions I had and willing to educate me on matters involving the case. He was able to help me remove emotion from the equation and make the most educated decisions possible. The most recognizable thing for me was that he really had the children’s best interest at hand and as a mother that was extremely important to me. I am forever grateful to Jon and the rest of the Salcido team for helping navigate me through the process and onto a better way of life. Hands down the Best Law Firm i have ever used regarding criminal cases. I am no stranger to the law and picking high powered attorneys. Dealing with the criminal justice system on and off for a good 15 years i have never encountered a more professional, honest, hard working and savy group of attorneys. Being a convicted felon with 3 open cases in two different jurisdictions, prison seemed inevitable. With a young daughter and government job at stake jail was no option. Benny and Chris worked non stop, constantly keeping me informed about the case telling me exactly what to do...My most serious charges WERE DISMISSED!!! YES DISMISSED. The other charges were pled down to minor infractions.. Salcido Law Firm saved my life. They have a life long friend and customer.

Based on my experience I cant help but feel most of these reviews are inflated or fabricated. At no point did i feel i was a priority. My case was passed around the firm between 3 different laywers. Court dates not scheduled leaving me to explain to the judge my laywer wont be present. Multiple times i was left waiting for hours for somone to show due to double booking cases. Details neglected from my case, causing a warrant to be issued, leaving me again, representing myself to the judge explaining what happened. Court papers not being provided forcing me to collect and file them myself. I can honestly say i received no benefite from retaining Salcidos services after paying a substantial sum of money. Stay far away from this firm

Jon was really great to work with from the start. He is a bull dog when he needs to be and very pleasant and professional to try and get your issues resolved. Divorce and the process is never fun especially when dealing with children. He holds the other party accountable. When bad days came in to play and tensions were high, he could always crack a joke to make me smile.Thanks Jon for always answering frantic phone calls and being compassionate know how much I love my kids and want the best for them.
