We recently purchased our first home through Altius Mortgage and had an excellent experience. I am a question asker and sought to understand every part of the home-buying process and they were more than helpful. Never once did I feel a nuisance for calling to ask a question, even if it was for the third time in a row. Our loan officer (Debbie Farrer, who is great to work with) made herself available at all times of the week and helped provide the answers to any questions we had. She worked with her team at Altius to find us the best rate at the best price in the market and had everything not only finished on time, but before hand, giving us the option to close a couple of days early if we wanted. If you want to work with a company that has personable representatives who are there to work for you and help make your home-buying process go smoothly, then this is the company to go with. No need to waste time shopping for better rates, they will make sure you get the best available to you. This is definitely a company that goes above and beyond.

I had what seems a quite unique experience with Altius Mortgage. My brother and I bought a home together. My brother lives in Provo, but I live in New York. The whole application and verification process was conducted via email and went rather smoothly considering the circumstances. Compared to my experience working with other Mortgage companies, Altius is fast particularly with underwriters. Other companies took a long time to get underwriting finished once all of our documents were in at times requiring us to request multiple extensions on our offer deadlines. Altius got everything through in 3 days. The improvement I would suggest is informational based. Given the dynamics of my geographical separation, I would have felt a little closer and more situationally aware had I received a phone call occasionally to talk about the next steps rather than just an email. Other than that, everything was smooth and easy.

Faced with some unique options and challenges regarding the purchase of a property, we reached out to a number of companies to receive advisement for options for proceeding given our circumstances. Of all the inquiries we found our correspondence and interaction with Altius Mortgage to present the clearest and most creative methods to accommodate our needs by way of loan options as well as timelines. They set themselves apart as being both competent and easy to work with drawing from a longstanding history and relationships in the housing and lending market. Throughout the process they were always very professional and understanding. Our timelines were met and financing options right in line with what we were budgeting for. We are now in a beautiful area with a great home. I highly recommend Altius Mortgage to anyone with mortgage needs. Great work!

We had a great experience working with Altius. Tiffany Leishman was a real miracle worker. She watched the interest rates for us to get the best rate possible. We got the lowest closing costs and the entire experience was super good. Every little question was answered instantaneously, many phone calls were made to make sure that everything made sense. Tiffany was a friend referral and was highly recommended. We came to her after doing our homework and shopping around. She absolutely rocked it, made a house purchase process easy, painless, and stressless. All the deadlines were met. We loved working with her! If we ever need to take out a mortgage again or refinance, we are coming back to Tiffany :)

I am very impressed with the loan that David Monson of Altius Mortgage just completed for my wife and me. It was more difficult than most loans to process because I am self-employed, we own rental units, one of our rental units was financed through a private non-conventional lender, we sold a home involving seller financing two years ago and we purchased our current home through seller financing. Even with all these complications our loan was completed within a month, we got a great interest rate and the fees were very fair. I have worked in the real estate business for 31 years and it takes an extraordinary experience to impress me.

My wife and I were discussing options and interest rates on a Saturday. I was looking for a local mortgage company. Unbelievably someone was in the office on a Saturday. She answered all our questions was able to give us a ballpark rate and we setup an appointment. Due to the nature of the purchase the documentation was a little different that what was needed in the past. She helped us with everything, kept us up to date and within two or three weeks we were closing. Altius Mortage was so helpful, it made what is a normally a hassle easy. If I ever buy another home, they will be my first call.

We had the opportunity to work with both Doug and Chris in the purchase of our new home. Both were very active in making sure that all of he paper work was completed on time and that all other people involved were also on time. As first time home buyers, Altius Mortgage (specifically Neal Bingham) made sure we were never in the dark and went out of his way to answer all our questions and concerns no matter how small they seemed. Sheila was very helpful and lived up to her reputation of being there for the client. Circumstances with the market and difficulty of new government systems have made the process difficult to navigate, but she was very helpful navigating and making up for errors in the system not necessarily the fault of Altius Mortgage. UPDATE: I have now done two refinances and a new construction loan with Altius Mortgage. They have been great to work with each time. They answered all of my questions and were very fast. Stephanie and Tiffany at Altius Mortgage were extremely helpful through my recent home refinance. As the application process evolved they found that I was eligible for an even better option than I had originally applied for, saving me even more over the life of the loan and on my monthly payment. David Monson with Altius Mortgage could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable for my home refinance. I have dealt with multiple other companies in the past few years trying to refi. Not one of those companies actually cared about me, they were all about just getting me to sign so they would get paid even trying to get me to go with a balloon loan and pull money from my 401k. I would and already have recommended him to friends. Trust me when I say you will not find better.

Dealing with Altius Mortgage and Neal Bingham is easy. They may not be the best looking bunch around but their smart and thats all that matters :-) They do not play the bait and switch game which is what you often get with other mortgage groups. They have the knowledge to be able to make the loan happen even when the circumstances are not considered A paper.
