..in February 2016 I was bitten by a neighbor’s dog while going out to pick up my Sunday paper..transported by ambulance to an area ER..7 hours later I headed home with 11 staples and a handful of Rx which needed to be filled and initiated immediately..three months later and after numerous doctor visits I have a seven inch ragged scar on my arm..along the way the owners insurance company denied the claim but paid for the “supplies”..I kept calling for info/next steps..they kept sending me form letters and never returning my calls..if this begins to sound similar to your situation here is what I have done to alleviate my growing frustration and feeling of being stone walled.... ..I vetted numerous law firms in my area and my research consistently came up with one firm..Slater & Zurz in Akron.. ..I called and within days I met with James Slater to discuss my issues..he listened very thoughtfully to my questions and addressed my issues one at a time..at no point did I feel pushed or pursued..he asked how and what questions and was never judgemental..he carefully outlined any next steps should I decide to contract with his organization to represent me and bring closure to my claim..I agreed to bring Slater and Zurz into my team.. ..I have now been working with Slater & Zurz for the past 11 days..the assigned team is focused, in touch, and working with me to close this awkward injury issue once and for all.. I highly recommend you review your dog bite awkwardness with Slater and Zurz to reach the same conclusion I have.. ..good luck in reaching the closure you deserve..you’ve got a life to live without holding on to any impediments or “one of these days” indecisions.!!... ..as a final note..tell them “Ed sent me..!”..that should kick start the conversation..

I found them after conducting a google search. I went on their website filled out their form describing why I was searching for legal assistance. Initially they were quick infact a Mr. Zurz called me personally to hear my story and then sell their amazing capabilities and the special attorney he was going to assign to me if I decided to choose their firm. I decided to at least speak with his attorney, Sean Buchanon (claiming to be the only real litigator at the firm) at Slater & Zurz he indicated I had a case in which he could litigate and win. His target number was $100k. Well after several years the case went to trial. The day of the trial, I walked into the courtroom only to realize this was the first time I was going to meet my attorney - never dawned on me I do not even know what he looks like. Then I realized we never once strategized prior to this day. He did not discuss what questions he was going to ask, how should handle questions from the defense, he never asked for income verification nothing, he never discussed with the court how painful it was having over 75 stiches in my face, never showed a single bill to the court. It was a simple case that was easily won but because "WE" did not demonstrate to the court any pain and suffering or out of pocket expenses the jury quickly rendered a verdict in our favor but without any idea on how much they determined I should receive $5,000.00 not the $100,000 they thought I would get. I then expressed my disappointment with them and they decided to pull out of the case and not even attempt to collect the $5,000. Thank you Slater & Zurz. I am wondering if there is a malpractice suit here?

My wife and I were on our 2nd anniversary trip and our daughter was at her grandparents home over the 4th of July weekend. We became extremely unsettled when we recieved a telephone call from my father stating that the neighbors dog had bitten our daughter in the face. We rushed home early to our daughter, who sustained facial injuries including stitches, puncture wounds and subsuquently emotional trauma and unnecessary fears from this heinous attack. My father contacted Slater and Zurz in regards to the attack after following all of the proper channels required legally. My parents, my wife and myself have been in contact with Slater and Zurz since the incident with the utmost confidence that their firm will walk us through this process with confidence, reassurance and trust that everything will be ok. As a parent and a father, I am deeply disturbed everytime I look at my beautiful daughter, who has been innocently miamed through the gross negligence of the dog owner, I am just simply appalled. Slater and Zurz has earned our trust, as a family, that they will be our front line of defense, as well as our friends, in the timely and adequate representation that our family, and more importantly our daughter, so rightly deserves. I am extremely satisfied in the timely response as well as the confidence in the Slater and Zurz team of professionals, that we will recieve the best representation that we need to regain the healthy family atmosphere we enjoyed before being so abruptly interrupted. My wife and I would like to take a second and thank Slater and Zurz LLP for not only help guide me in my case but actually saving my life! If it was not for the caring loving guidance Mr Slater and his firm gave me I would not be alive next summer. You see I was in a car accident and was banged up so I was talking with the insurance company that represented the other driver, told them the situation. They were really quick to want to write me a check and tell me give it time I will be fine. This did not sit right with me. So I was referred to Slater and Zurz and Mr. Luna was very helpful and within a few minute of talking with him Mr. Slater himself had called me and gave me suggested on what to do never once did they ask me to sign papers or hire them to represent me they both where more worried about my welfare. So I took care of my health and went to a few specialist and had a MRI done come to find out I was stage 3 moving into stage 4 kidney cancer I had a 5cm growth on and eating through my kidney my Dr in 30yrs of practice never seen something so bad in alive patient with no symptoms. His exact words where "you would not be here next June if we did not find this on your MRI". So I just want people to know what a GREAT THOUGHTFUL FIRM THEY ARE!! Mr Slater and Mr Luna my wife and I thank you for extending our life together!!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the law firm of Slater and Zurz for the great way they handled my case. I was crossing a parking lot (as a pedestrian) and was hit by a pickup truck as a result of this I was hospitalized for the next six weeks. Brandon at Slater & Zurz handled the fallout from a car accident my son and I were in. We were struck on a wintery road and our car was totaled. There were medical bills, replacing the car - lots of complicated stuff that would have been like taking on a part-time job to figure out.
