At R. I. T. you will get an education that will put you at the State of the Art in your chosen field You will work hard and be rewarded for your efforts. Your teachers will not be grad. students but real Professors who have really worked in their fields and equally important know how to teach. As a school that was one of the first to offer work co-ops it has close ties to industry. R. I. T. Grads have a reputation in industry as employees that can hit the ground running. Their arts programs are top notch with top name teachers like Joseph Albers, Albert Paley and Wendell Castle to work with. Being a school that has both right brain and Left brain students ans a reasonable guy/gal ratio, the soial life is pretty good. No football team but they build, race, and are successful in both formula SAE open wheel cars and in international BAJA . There Hocky team was National champs in division III then II and are now making division I noises with conference champoinships. At Duke University where I worked and taught you can get a BS in Religion and be prepared to be a Sunday school teacher. At R. I. T. you can get a meaningful education and earn a living as an expert in your field if you apply yourself.

You get what you pay for. All private colleges are insanely expensive these days and RIT is no exception for sure. But I am an alumni from 2010 and I have been back to campus many times since graduating for visiting and recruiting. Their IT and information security programs are world class. If you want to be targeted by the big names in high tech RIT is a good option. I still keep in touch with a number of my friends from college and I can say we are all doing pretty well for ourselves. We are still possibly paying off some of our student loans but many have paid off loans early. There sure are cheaper places but I really felt at home living on campus. I do not regret my decision going to RIT and I still today talk with people who wish they went to RIT because they have seen the world class skills graduates leave with.

I am the grandmother of an RIT student. I have had fabulous experiences with every staff member with whom I have interacted. Although I do not get to visit campus often (Florida is a little far away!), I find a vibrant atmosphere whenever I am there. And, most importantly, my granddaughter is thriving!

Not a fan, I went there for a conference about marketing yourself in business. Was there for 4 hours and 1 hour was learning and the rest was a recruiting ploy for you to go to RIT... not a fan when I already committed to a college and wasted a day

Overpriced for profit school. I was able to get a decent education there but I feel like the first class they offer should be about paying back your student loans. Although that would probably greatly increase the drop-outs.

The place has lot to offer if you utilize the resources. Its not just about academic excellence but grooming yourself at the fullest. At the end of your student life you can see your whole new self shining out of you.
