In my experience, SESLOC customer service has greatly declined in the past five years. Increasingly, they have gotten more difficult to access - closing branches that were close to us and opening up in other areas that are not at all convenient - at least to us. They have started to institute banking policies that are inconvenient and impersonal - for example, refusing to let me transfer money from savings to checking on line, because I was only allowed to do make six online transfers in one month (they never told me this before and the first five transfers were automatic transfers that they had initiated - not me!). I was trying to make the online transfer to make sure I had sufficient funds to cover a check - and I had to drive all the way down to their very inconvenient office (a half hour from my home) to make the transfer in person. Their new branch office is ugly, poorly planned, wasteful of space, and very impersonal. I have transferred my banking to US Bank, which despite being a very large bank, is so much more personal than SESLOC. So sorry to see a credit union we have used for over 15 years become such an impersonal, bureaucratic nightmare.

We went in to talk about first time home buying and open an account. The woman who helped us with the account was fine. The woman who "helped" us with questions about loans was NOT fine. She told us right of the bat she was going to lunch but could answer just a few questions for us. She was short on her answers, and we felt like she stereotyped our family (we have three young kids) to the point where she felt we would not even qualify with out knowing anything about us. We will not be going there for our home loan.

Sesloc is hands down the best place to bank on the central coast. Service is exceptional and genuine. They help our community by advising their members on financial dilemmas and helping them to make the right decisions. We have been with them for decades now and tell all our friends and family to join! You will not be disappointed. Sincerely.

SESLOC has the best service. They consistently go above my expectations. I have been with SESLOC for decades and will *never* use a bank again. Credit unions help everyone equally; banks give preferential treatment to the rich .
