The Law Offices of Glenn W Magnell were a great help to me, and I would highly recommend them. I had retained their services in April of 2014 when given an excessive amount of traffic tickets after I was involved in an accident. Not only were they able to provide great assistance through reducing the charges to a parking violation, they were able to deal with the bureaucracy of Albany County Medical Center and were able to get the hospital discharge papers that were never given to me. I never felt ignored, or given too little attention even though my case was simply a traffic violation. They were straight forward and reasonable in their goals, and I never felt I was being promised something in an attempt to receive more money (as I had with other firms I had talked to). It is due to their efforts I was able to stop worrying about receiving excessive point, large fines, or even a license suspension.

In my dealings with Megan Hayton, I found her to be professional, forthright, diligent and results-oriented. Professional, as in reviewing my speeding charges, advising me on how to respond to those charges, explaining the legal process and my options. Forthright, in terms of expectations of the most likely outcome, based on the jurisdiction of the speeding charge. Diligent in her communications and follow-up and pleasant in the manner of her verbal and written communications. Results-oriented, in achieving the stated (and desired) goal of a re-classification of the moving violation to a parking violation. The end result was: no lost points; no increase in insurance rates; a continued ‘clean’ driving record. Big-time thanks to the “Magnell Team”. I was pulled over for a DUI with a blood alcohol level of .13 in New York state. With the legal limit set at .08 and all evidence pointing to me being guilty, Attorney Magnell was still able to overcome the odds. As a recent college graduate looking to launch my career, I have been constantly been applying and interviewing with employers. Knowing that a DUI on my record would put a permanent tarnish on my name, Attorney Magnell fought. In fact he was so thorough in his practice, that he was able to have my DUI reduced to a DWAI, which is only a 90 day driving suspension in the state of NY. I received a speeding ticket on Route 17 North while going up to Ithaca New York in the town of Hancock, NY. I was going 89 mph in a 55mph. This would have resulted in an 8 point ticket which would be subject to almost a thousand dollars in fines for the ticket alone and an additional 150 dollars a year for 3 years for having more than 6 points on your license. They were able to reduce my ticket to a 59mph in a 55mph which resulted in only a 175 dollar fine and 3 points on my driver’s license which I got rid of by taking a defensive driving class to make sure my insurance wasn’t raised. They were very helpful through the entire process and were very informative and prompt with any information they received. I highly recommend their service.

Glenn and Kate did an excellent job in handling my speeding ticket. I was on my second, and it was crucial that I get it reduced to a non-moving violation to prevent my insurance from increasing. They did better than I could have imagined and got the reduction down to a parking violation with no points and a fine.
