Visitors have access to most of the building and the history represented is not just of the school itself but Virginia City and the Comstock in general. It has both a broad spectrum of history as well as more in depth information, more so than other museums on the same local subjects.

This was well worth the 11.00 it cost to get in. For a small town nonprofit organization it was extremely well done. They had history of the school and area. The section on the Comstock mine was was very informative. All I can say is go.

It gets a 5 because it was the public school of Virginia City for over a century and it is still standing and functions as a museum of the crazy amazing history and engineering feats and technology and tenacity born of the motherload.

Fun and interesting. Lots of photos and memorabilia from past teachers and students. There is a look thru that has model of the mines and info of the mines. Lots of history. Can take from 30 min to an hour for the visit

Tons of history and very well maintained. More than just school info, includes a complete history of the mining industry of Virgina City. Definitely worth the $6 admission.
