I paid for the initial consultation. I was lead to believe (or not properly informed) that a letter would resolve the situation. My two subsequent visits were rushed with a pat on my back without any questions answered. Really? I drove 40 minutes on my lunch break for a pat on the back? I am sure I was charged for that. You have to understand I was emotionally drained. I did not need my pocket drained as well. When it was all said and done I paid over $2,000 for a letter that yielded no results. Of course for a further retainer, we could take the next step, I was never told there was potentially another retainer needed for a more involved process. A complete waste of time and money for me. If Lani was not in such a hurry to pick up her kids and running late for my appointment, then maybe she could have given me all the information to make an informed decision. However, if I would have known there was another retainer/second step, maybe I would not have taken the first step and paid the first retainer. Make sure you fully understand what she will do, what the potential results will be, the likely outcome .and if there are more retainers in your future. The worst part is I did not succeed in seeking justice in the matter, and that still hurts today. The staff was nice and helpful though.

I saw this attorney on a consultation. Once she learned that I had no interest in taking anyone to court, at that point, she ended my meeting and to make matters worse I was still sitting in her office, in front of her, and she turned around, and began typing. I paid $100 for 10 minutes with her and I felt that she should have showed more interest in my concerns. Although I felt dissatisfied with my consultation, the 5-10 (estimated) minutes that we did speak, she happened to be informative, but too abrasive.
