Do the grand tour made, was really interesting. It is purely in the dam and sees the generator hall. But one should not expect too much. The guide was friendly, funny elderly gentleman. The film previously shown on the dam construction and the benefit is getting a bit old and very "euphoric," no objective view on the problems of the dam.

Lovely older colonial style hotel with comfortable simple rooms in a historically significant area of Nevada. Flat screens, most channels, quiet programmable in-wall Japanese-made a/c units... Nice fireplace sitting area. Good selection of breakfast choices. Museum on-site. 100 meters to restaurants, coffee and curio shops. Free parking (shady until 10 am in summer). Staff polite and helpful. Only 20 min easy drive at any time of the day to the LV strip. 10 min to Hoover Dam site. Most stores and facilities close by 9-10 pm, so eat in Vegas before returning late. Charming and highly recommended.

This is not the museum at the dam. This is a very small museum at the back of the Boulder dam hotel. That said, it was fun and informative and very cheap ($2).
