I have known and worked with Dee Wampler for several years. In 18 years on the circuit court bench in Alabama, in addition to my years of practicing law, I worked with thousands of lawyers and law firms. I had the opportunity to work out of the Law Offices of Dee Wampler & Joseph Passanise for several days in June, 2016. Even though I was doing my own wok, I visited with every lawyer and staff member there. I could tell that the firm is organized, highly competent, and staffed by the best and brightest. A young lawyer like Mr. Pierson should really be paying Dee Wampler for the experience that he is getting working there, of course that is not practical. Joe Passanise is now running a strong second to Dee Wampler as an excellent lawyer. Many lawyers, especially those who do criminal defense work, fly by the seat of their pants, doing little investigation, no legal research and think they have a chance to win because “they are so good.” They lose. The winners are firms like Wampler and Passanise, that do a complete investigation, legal research, file the proper motions, and if necessary try the case. That’s the lawyers in this office. I’d also be remiss if I didn’t comment on Mr. Dee Wampler. Like Atticus Finch in “To Kill a Mockingbird” he is fearless, wise, a scholar in many fields, a patriot, a true Christian, and a man who loves his family, his country, and loves life. He defines the term “Gentleman.”

I became associated with Mr. Passanise after a family member became involved in some very serious legal issues after making poor life choices. When this happened I did not know where to turn for help, and Mr. Passanise was referred to me by a friend who had acquaintances who had gone through similar issues and had been helped by Mr. Passanese. Throughout the entire experience, Mr. Passanise was never judgmental towards myself or my family member. Mr. Passanises primary concern was always how we were doing personally. I would see Mr. Passanise in the newspaper or on television due to his involvement in much higher profile cases than what my family and I were involved in, but while this was going on, Mr. Passanise would still personally reach out to me, asking how we were doing and letting me know how our case was proceeding.
