We have used Jacobsons in the past. They did a stellar job installing a new air conditioner a few years ago. So we used them again this year when we needed a new gas line run from our meter to our pool house for a new pool heater installation. They did a fantastic and clean job with the installation. We were having issues getting the furnace lit initially, Jacobsons came out to troubleshoot and Matt found that flex tubing that was initially installed (not by Jacobsons) was the wrong kind (causing all of our lighting issues). So while they were there for a follow up call, they went ahead and corrected that issue as well. I REALLY appreciate Jacobsons "staying all over it" until the job is done and everything is functioning as it should. They are VERY prompt (we had to use the "emergency service" and that was VERY quick and efficient) and their customer service is wonderful. One of the techs, Dan, even gave us some pointers about removing brush around our air conditioner, and a few other tips unrelated to our current service that would help create better performances for our air conditioner and furnace! :-) We will DEFINITELY use Jacobsons in the future - and you should too!!

EXCELLENCE ALL AROUND! Jacobson Heating and Cooling installed a new energy efficient Amana ACVC 100 96% AFUE Variable speed counter flow Furnace for our home on March 23, 2017. Sales Representative, Mike Bojas, was very professional, informational and thorough in his inspection for quotation and provided us with a very good, highly competitive price. Our installers were BJ and Ross, and they were prompt as scheduled, efficient and courteous and did an excellent job installing our furnace. Thanks guys! We were extremely impressed with the Technical Team of Tony and Andrew—Both very knowledgeable with an experienced professional eye for engineering details. Jacobson’s follow through was superb as well. The day after installation, the Tony and Andrew returned to see how the system was functioning, tweaked a few things and went beyond our expectations to improve our system and the whole house humidifier attached to the system. We are so pleased with Jacobson’s outstanding service and price, that we HIGHLY recommend them to anyone considering a new Furnace, Air Conditioner or repair on your existing equipment! Excellence All-Around!

I recently had Jacobson’s install a new furnace and central air unit. The price was comparable to other company’s quotes, it was installed in one day and looks much better. The salesman was thorough, however made snide remarks about the other companies who had already given me quotes and had an overall condescending demeanor. My frustration came when it did not pass inspection. I received no sort of communication from them as to what was going on with the failed inspection. After three weeks of not hearing anything I contacted them as was told it could take a while. Then the following day I received a call from my salesman, not asking if everything was working fine, but looking for payment. I explained that I was waiting to make payment when the inspection was approved and also that my prior day phone call I was told it could take a while. Apparently that put a light in their fire because the inspection was then approved within two days. The lack of communication left something to be desired but the system is working well and I am overall satisfied.

2/18/2016 I just had my 24 year old furnace replaced with a new Daikin furnace by Jacobson. Also had a new Aprilaire humidifier installed at the same time. I watched these two guys Kelly and Matt perform the work and I could not be more impressed with the quality and pride with which they did the work. They did a fantastic job. They rolled out protective rugs over the entire pathway from the entrance door, down the carpeted stairs and on to the utility room in the basement. Every cut of the sheet metal or PVC pipe was precise and square. They took great care to get everything lined up square and level. While their quote came in a few hundred bucks over some other quotes I got on this job, it was more than worth it for the quality job they did. They were also able to get the job done sooner than any of the other quotes, which mattered to us since the old furnace was broken and it was only 8 degrees outside the morning of the installation. Thank you Jacobson! I recommend you to anyone that needs HVAC work done.

In 2012 I had them install a new furnace and AC unit. They did a great job. In May of this year I turned on the AC and no cooling. I called them and the gal who answered asked for my address and said you have a 10 year parts and labor warranty. I did not have to remind them or ask. She said someone will be out that day to look at it. The service tech. filled it with coolant and put some dye in it. He said run it and call back in 2 weeks and we will see where the dye comes out. Called them back the person that answered was like waiting for my call and knew what was going on. The service tech came out found the leak and said he would order the part. 3 days later he came out fixed me up and said it was all covered. A great team they kept me cool fixed it no hassle. They scheduled the service calls so I did not take time off work and sit around waiting for them to show up. I will use them again for personal and if anything goes wrong at the business I will call.

Excellent, HONEST Service! I had Jacobson come to my home for a 2nd opinion after another company (Godwin Heating and Cooling) told me my newer-model furnace had a cracked heat exchanger and was completely "shot" and tried to talk me into replacing it. The technician from Jacobson was very knowledgable and took his time looking at our furnace. He warned me about furnace repair scams from some companies like those mentioned in a recent Grand Rapids press article. He found that there was no crack in my heat exchanger and did a high-tech test on my furnace to measure carbon monoxide levels, which were ZERO. I would highly recommend Jacobson Heating and Cooling, I feel like I can trust them, I was almost taken for a ride by Godwin. I will continue to go here for my tune-ups every year and for repairs whenever I need them. THANK YOU!!

I called grapids heating and cooling because my furnace was not operating properly.I was informed by the technician that it needed a Combustion motor and the blower wheel needed cleaning. He gave me a written estimate of 445.00$ to clean blower wheel,labor only, and 676.00$ to replace combustion motor. These seemed to be very excessive and shady estimates to me.I called Jacobson for a second estimate. The technician Brian checked my furnace thoroughly.He also said the combustion motor was failing, yet the blower wheel was in good shape.The estimate Jacobson heating and cooling gave me was 164.00$ total! What a awesome, honest and professional company!You have a very happy customer,and I will tell all my friends and family about Jacobson heating and cooling.

Jacobsons has been our Heating and Cooling company since they installed our Furnace and AC over 24 years ago. They are so HONEST and we so appreciate that. Just had our Furnace checked, as we usually do every couple of years. Could have told us we needed to update our heating system...but assured us it was all functioning very well. Just need to have heat exchanger checked yearly now. Kevin was our technician and was such a pleasure to work with. His demeanor, friendliness, knowledge and willingness to explain things and show my husband how to keep things clean and running efficiently. Our air conditioning went out and we called Jacobson Heating & Cooling to diagnose the problem. A technician, Brian, was at our house within an hour. He was friendly and professional. He quickly identified the issues and repaired the unit but not before explaining everything and breaking down the cost, which was very reasonable. He also made a few suggestions on upkeep to help avoid the same issue in the future. Overall, we are very satisfied with our experience with Jacobson Heating & Cooling and we will certainly be using them for our heating and cooling needs in the future!

I had an Amana high efficiency furnace and AC unit installed by Jacobson and the two guys that did the instillation (I apologize for not remembering their names) did an excellent job. I have one word to describe the instillation ... "BEAUTIFUL". Even the city inspector commented on the beautiful instillation. =) I got every pennies worth from this experience. Jeff was very professional and provided us with a quote within 24 hours. While we did not choose Jacobson it was not because of their professionalism or product. My furnace stopped working on a Friday evening. The worst day for this. I called Jacobsons and BRIAN called me back. He talked me about the problem and gave me directions to fix it.
