August 19th 2016, I physically signed a 6 month contract with State Farm with the agreement that my monthly payments would be just under $370.00 a month. On September 5th 2016 I received a call from State Farm stating that my dmv report came back with a not so favorable violation. I had stated to the agent that violation will be 5 years old come December 2016. I was then told that Michigan state law requires them to go back up to 5 years. They proceeded to tell me that my next payment would be around $770.00 a month. And that they would postpone my automatic payment from my bank account until I inform them of what I would to do with my policy. On Friday sept 9th 2016 I called and canceled my policy as I found another company for $300. Less a month. I then asked when should I be expecting my refund for the 10 remaining days that I have already paid for. I was told that they do not have that answer because of Michigan state laws. On Tuesday sept 26 2016, I called because I have yet to receive my refund. I was told that I would not be recieving a refund because I signed a 6 month contract and that my monthly payments went up and the unpaid portion for the first month was factored into the remaining 5 months and therefore my refund that I would have received was actually owed to them. I understand the concept. However I signed a 6 month contract with state farm that stated my monthly payments would be 370. NOT 777. Therefore they changed my contract which both parties of that contract did not agree to the terms and the contract is now annulled. State Farm agent says that they are not allowed to look at my dmv because they are not a licensed insurance agent and that the agreement that I had signed and the 370$ that I paid was only a quote. So with that being said for anyone whose searching for insurance. Be aware that State Farm does not initially review your driving record and will sign a contract with you under false or inaccurate information about your driving record. They will call you two weeks later to inform you of your dmv report. If I was made aware that they go back 5 years I would have made sure they were aware of my record. I assumed they went back 3 years as majority of insurance companies do. I was also told today that they would actually go back up to 6 years because Michigan law allows that.

Bill Cole and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Anytime I call, I get prompt service and detailed information. Normally, I choose to do my business online, but with Bill’s staff I find myself going into the office or calling in. The staff was very adamant on me protecting my family with life insurance. I will say I was a person who never really thought about life insurance. They did a great job finding a plan that best suited my budget and needs. I am grateful that they took the time to get my life insurance taken care of. I know my family may need it someday and it was because of the staff at Bill Cole’s office that I am comfortable my family will be taken care of if something happens to me. Bill Cole and his staff are very ethical and caring. As a Realtor in Grand Rapids Michigan I can refer them with out hesitation. What I have learned after many years in the business it is not all about price when it comes to insurance, it is who is going to stand behind the policy when there is a problem. I had a client who had a condo and was insured by State Farm - Bill Cole. The complex caught fire, they stood behind the policy with no problem. Till this day, my client still thanks me for insisting they had condo insurance and for referring State Farm. I personally am insured by them, and can tell you by personal experience they take care of their clients, making it so easy for me. They are an asset to the community, personally and professionally.

I usually do not like dealing with insurance companies, but Bill Coles agency has really gone out of their way for me time and time again. The staff at this office has always been friendly and very willing to help me out. When I call I usually speak to Ryanne or Jamie and they are both extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all the questions I have. I feel like I am now much more educated about my insurance policies and coverage because of Bill and his staff. Awesome, friendly, VERY HELPFUL. I would advise anyone looking for insurance to at least give them a call, I have nothing but good things to say about them!

I bought a new car in 2009 and the collision insurance from Bill Cole was $ 178 a month. In addition, they charged me $ 250 for changing my policy from the old car to the new (without making it very clear that the mere "writing a new policy" would cost that much). I could have simply started somewhere else without paying the $ 250. After shopping around, I changed companies and now my monthly payment is $ 104.
