this insurance is the worse I had. I recommend not to buy it at all. you will just wast your money. they will not pay for any cost. my husband got a backache suddenly whenever we were covered with the insurance. he does not have any history of backache before that date. we were traveler in us and we had hard time there. his case was getting worse occurred to a severe pain and numbness and doctors recommended to take him to Emergency room and finally they did surgery for him because he could not move, his pain can not be alleviated even by morphin and his foot was getting numbed. he had lots of claim in his page all related to his backache. surprisingly!!!!!! they did not cover any costs!!!! they told it is pre existing condition and can not be covered!!! imagine without any history of backache they called his case pre existing and they told us you need to prove it is not pre existing. his surgeon says this decision is completely wrong. it is an acute one, it is written in his medical documents sent to the insurance!!!!!!!!!! we cannot afford these costs at all by ourselves. they are lying. they considered my husband case as a pre existing without any documentation!!!!??????? I do not recommend it to anyone else. be aware just wast you money and at the end whether it is pre existing or not, they will not cover you.

As the patient advocate for a widow in her forties, I was disheartened to learn that IMG would not cover her cancer diagnosis and treatments. In good faith she purchased a plan with IMG in March 2014; when she felt nodules on her neck seven months later (in late November), doctors immediately followed up with a diagnosis, surgery, radiation and chemotherapy by early 2015. Sadly, IMG refused to cover these costs, saying that an independent doctor (whose name they would not divulge) claimed ‘with reasonable medical certainty’ that she had the cancer in March 2014. Her oncologist appealed the decision, pointing out that her cancer was a rapidly growing cancer and could have developed in less than six months. IMG rejected the appeal, and now she is responsible to pay her own medical bills of $150,000, while living on Social Security and caring for her 7-year-old son.

This is the provider offered to returned Peace Corps Volunteer upon completion of service. It is a terrible service with little if anything positive to offer. Slow costumer service, I was met with resistance throughout the entire claim process, including "losing" documents I had submitted, slow processing times, and no follow-up. (At one point I had to have a the medical clinic on the phone during a call to a IMG associate just so they could back me up and tell them they were faxing the necessary medical documents DURING THE CALL, just so IMG could no longer insist I had not sent those documents. Very unprofessional.) If you are an RPCV, or anyone else for that matter, do not waste your money here.

My husband I have used IMG plans for our international travel for years now. They are our insurance provider of choice. For us, nothing even comes close to offering the excellent coverage that their Global Medical Insurance plan with worldwide coverage does. We choose to add on the additional sports rider which covers our active lifestyle and adventures. For various reasons in countries all over the world, we have each had to file claims. Each time I submitted everything they asked for and we were reimbursed with no hassles. I always travel with peace of mind knowing that we have an awesome insurance company covering our backs. This is insurance is a hoax and fraud. They do not cover anything. Didnt reimburse even after submitting all the bills and explanation of benefits from the doctors and the labs. Dont fall for it.
