Danger, Red Alert, Do not even consider buying any kind of service from these scammers. Before even considering buying this service I called their customer service number to make sure I would quilify for coverage. They ask on their questionnaire about certain things that would be considered pre-existing conditions. I went to hospital a few weeks before signing up for insurance for chest pain, turned out that it was just acid reflex (heartburn) I told the women from customer service that and she said that would be no problem with getting coverage since I was not diagnosed with any kind of contrition needing further treatment or prescribed any kind of medicine from the pharmacy. So I sign up for the coverage thinking that I would have some sort of piece of mind until I could get on my employers plan. Boy I was ever wrong, a few weeks after having the coverage I all of a sudden began having chest pains again, thinking I was have some sort of heart issue I went to the ER, fortunately it was just some stomach issues like before (acid reflex). The hospital filed with insurance for payment, and low and behold they denied the claim saying that chest pain is a pre-existing condition. Makes no sense to me and my doctor says the same how in the heck can heart burn be a pre-existing condition? Now have been filing dispute claims with them to no avail. Should of looked into finding out more about this scamming company from the BBB and this site before doing business with them. No out of the premiums that I paid and probably stuck having to pay all the hospital bills as well.

I used HCC for 2015 and they were not great to deal with at best, but affordable. I upgraded my families plan to include vision and dental for 2016 and in doing so our policies effective date lapsed and our new plans effective date was Feb. 2016. As luck would have it, I started to experience knee pain and swelling in the middle of Jan. After two visits to an orthopedic doctor, it was determined that I would need a scope to determine what was wrong and be able to fix it. HCC has now denied the surgery because of a pre-existing condition. These folks are not only incompetent, but the reason that insurance has a bad name. You get what you pay for I guess

worst insurance company in the world. they deny everything. provide nothing. and are terrible to deal with. they put the burden of proof on you to do tons of paperwork for each claim. absolutely terrible.
