Bankers Fidelity has no problem taking your money but when it comes to paying out on a claim they make your life a living hell. I will keep you informed of all the steps I am going through and let you decide if this company is worth it to you while trying to heal from surgery, and being off work. Be knowledgable, and look up your account information so when they lie and say your claim was paid/or mailed out you could call them on why it states “pended” in your account. The VP himself told me my claim was mailed out, but my account states “pended.” He made other promises about closing out my claim and paying me after my final doctor visits and completed paperwork. Now I do not trust him or anyone else at Bankers Fidelity. They lie without a conscience and make it extremely difficult for you to collect on a claim. • All required paperwork is not available to you online to file a claim. So, even though they had my paperwork 07/28/2017, as of today my claim is pending due to extra paperwork they continuously mail you to fill out. • Once they receive your paperwork by mail they send you more paperwork by mail to fill out. This will come approximately 2 weeks after they receive your claim. • This paperwork requires you to allow a third party company to obtain all your medical records from your doctor. You return this by mail. • I was told on 8/21/2017 they received my paperwork and had it sent to a third party to request paperwork from doctor. This was a flat out lie. They would not give me information on third party so I found it out myself. Third party said they had no request for me and they were sorry because the insurance company should be the one checking on this. I called the insurance company 3 times that day and everyone blamed everyone else. They finally gave me a fax number to send my medical records. • I sent medical records on 8/242017. On 8/27/2017 I called and was told they are still waiting for my medical records. Since I sent them in I knew they were lying and called them on it. I was told to check back on 8/31. I called back and was given another song and dance. I asked to speak to someone over claim agent. VP called me back and told me the check was mailed out. When I checked my account it says “pended,” not “paid.” Their job is to keep from paying claims, so have an attorney ready. Make sure you note all calls to the company and names of people you spoke to. Be prepared to get the run around from the claim agents that answer the phone after sitting on hold for 10-15 minutes. Do not be surprised if the claim agent is not nice. They are trying to deter you so they do not have to pay a claim. There is no faxing or emailing your claim information, and they use a third party vendor to drag out the process. Everything is sent through the postal service. Please be prepared to get less money than you expected, and to not get it until you are back at work. They may have been a great company years ago, but right now they rate less than one star. If they are doing this to me I can only imagine what they are doing to our senior citizens across the country they have been serving since 1955 and are their major clients.

My mother had a policy with them hoping to use it later in life. They would not pay if Medicare paid for certain. We had to go through a lot of paper work and delays and they raised the premium on a policy she had been paid off for years. If you have loved ones that is buying insurance check for good companies.

Appreciate Bankers Fidelity offering Plan F High Deductible. Premiums are much reduced over the Plan F that I had had with another company. Bankers Fidelity service is outstanding. I even received a reduction in my premium.
