If you get in a car wreck with someone that has USAA insurance, run straight to your attorney! April 13th, 2017. A driver insured by USAA hit my vehicle. (They were cited, at total fault) I had an attorney through my entire process with USAA, and they still caused me nothing but greif and stress! As it was arranged, they picked up my car from the impound it was towed to, they then stated they were not covering the storage fees at the impound... I let my attorney handle the entire process because I was 9 months pregnant, (had my baby April 20th, ONE WEEK after this man hit my car) well it became May, then June and I still did not recieve my check after they deemd my vehicle as a total loss. We all investigate to figure out what was going on, well USAA claimed they never picked up my car, and they never adjusted it for it to be a total loss(I had already had the paper work that showed they deemed as a total loss). Okay well after I proved that they did adjust it already, they claimed they needed to have the vehicle before they would send the check, but I already signed my title and mailed it to them FOUR weeks prior. After proving that, they still claimed they did not have my car. Ok so if they didnt have my car then who did??? After a few days of endless phone calls, to get back on the phone with USAA, they admitted to having my vehicle, and withholding the check from me. Also, as they were doing the adjusting on my vehicle to deem it as a total loss, they put that it had no tint- when looking at it you can very easily see the tint on it.. And was told they would do nothing about it. I had reciepts from all the parts I had just put into my vehicle a month prior to the wreck When I had just gotten the car February 25th 2017. Was also told they would not do anything about them, nor the car seat that was not even 4 months old in my car. This insurance company is a huge joke and will do anything to spare themselves some extra money. Definitely get a great aggressive attorney if you get into a wreck with a USAA insured driver.

Customer service and customer service by phone is horrible. The wait times are too long. I had to wait forty six minutes by phone just to complain about the service. USAA does not have all of it ducks in a row nor is anyone on the same page. Answers and information I was given over the course of five phone calls, which does not include the calls I could not wait for and had to hang up, were incorrect and misleading. There are no operators I could speak to, only a prompt with no options to send my call to the complaint department. I could not even find a way of contact online. I had to call and wait for customer service who then put me through so I could file a complaint only to have no resolve. That call took over an hour and fifteen minutes. If I were a Jew and Hitler was still alive, I would rather deal with Hitler believing I would get better customer service and accurate information in less amount of time

Not a member. My vehicle was hit by your member while I was parked and your company is dragging feet to get my car fixed. Every other day I call to get the "status" of my claim and am told that the member needs to call back and answer some more questions......your rep Francesca even made it clear that this is cut and dry. Unfortunately, the member called in "after hours" to report the accident and no one is available "after hours" to record the statement so nothing can be done until they hear from him AGAIN. Advised by your agents to call MY INSURANCE and file a claim......ABSOLUTELY NOT! USAA is responsible for this not my Insurance. 7 days later and NOTHING. Glad Iam not member!

I have been with USAA since 1998. 2017 marks my peak with them and so disgusted this experience has been that leaving them and forgetting about them is the least I could do. I have a vandalism claim through which the claim adjuster is never available, damages are listed discriminately. Finally, they case becomes a ghost process as they just stop providing any information. Thank you for making discovering how much higher I was paying in insurance with USAA.

For those of you who are with or considering USAA - DONT! I am getting another truck and thought I would use them again..... Was quoted a good rate which with a 794 score I qualify for - when it came time to wrap it up they raised it 2+ points! They had no answers and would not let me speak with a manager - felt like I was dealing with the cable company - USAA is now in the business of screwing Veterans - please pass this along!!!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. False advertising is something we vets should sue this company for! They are no service to our men and women in uniform, our spouses or our families and yet they make billions off of advertising that they are "military friendly" and our sacrifices. They are dishonest, no mannered and their claims department is CORRUPT.
