The buyers of our home (or their realtor) chose this law firm for closing. The firm made several errors during and after the closing process. Some were minor communication problems, but two errors were contractual errors. The contract specified closing would be held in the county in which the property was located (Manatee county). In spite of their having an office in Manatee county, they held the closing in Sarasota County. The closing was delayed from the specified contract date of 31 July until 12 August. The contract specified that the closing could only be delayed for certain reasons - none of which applied. After signing all the paperwork, we waited at the closing to hear that the money had been deposited to our account to finally learn it would not be wired until later in day. I was required to supply 2 original documents for closing - a power of attorney and a death certificate. I was promised the documents would be returned immediately after filing. Filing in Manatee county occurred on 20 Aug - but after many Emails and telephone calls to the firm, I finally received one document 2 months later; and only after another contact, I received the 2nd document. This firm advertises itself as "primarily focused on real estate matters". Would you want them to handle your closing?
