I am very unhappy with the service I have received. The original policy was written incorrectly causing my mortgage company to not accept it. When i called to address it the customer service representative kept blaming the original policy representative. This did not solve my problem in fact it made me more frustrated that instead of taking ownership for their company that just wanted to blame a fellow co-worker. They rewrote the policy but put in a later date for the policy to start, this time between the incorrect and correct policy date caused me to be billed by my mortgage company as they had to find their own policy to make up for that time. Once the correct policy was written I spoke with a customer representative at Heritage Insurance requesting there to be NO INVOICE sent to my mortgage company as that would cause my monthly payments to rise and I would prefer to pay it all at once. They confirmed with me multiple times that they would not send an invoice and bill my mortgage company. At that time I paid the total policy with my credit card. They DID NOT listen and still SENT AN INVOICE to my mortgage company who paid the invoice from my escrow account causing my monthly mortgage payment to go up. This caused their policy to be paid twice..What makes me the most upset is that every time I call this company and speak with a customer service representative about my issues they NEVER DO ANYTHING to resolve it instead they blame other co workers. They never provided me with anything to make up for their mistakes. Not even a sorry.

I filed a claim in 2016. The entire process was hell, and included outright lying, misinformation, a complete lack of communication, delay after delay, and bi weekly phone calls on my end. It took several weeks to get an initial inspection, and despite multiple phone calls and assurance that I could remove the giant shards of tile that used to be my floor as long as I took pictures, they gave me a hard time once they finally got there. They actually had to pull call records to verify that the conversations took place. Finally, on day 90 (the longest they are legally allowed to drag it out) they called and informed me they were denying my claim for improper installation, despite the fact that the installation was inspected by the county when the home was built and deemed proper. While having the claim denied was irritating, the rest of the process was absolutely infuriating. I cannot stress enough: stay away!!! They may be cheap, but you get what you pay for.

My experience with Heritage Insurance Company is nothing but outstanding. From the moment of my claim till completion it was nothing but professionalism and compassion. I am a “snow bird” and was located 1200 miles from my claim in Florida. Heritage Insurance inside manager Mr Tim Lawrence walked me through the steps with patience and guidance, he was a tremendous help. Me Lawrence suggested BRK to handle the repairs necessary. That was one of the best moves I ever made. Me Alan Roeder was assigned as my Project Manager. Mr Roeder was fantastic, he went over and above to make me and my wife happy, in one case, he came to my home after working hours to make sure the job was going well. I cannot say enough good things about Heritage Insurance and appreciate all Mr Lawrence & Mr Roeder did for us. Thank you Michael Mosca

I would litterally give this company 0 stars if I could. Firstly, i made a claim a month ago and i still hadnt heard from them. I called them and they said they had the wrong phone number for me. They did however have my email, but of course they never sent me anything. When I called them, they started to get the ball rolling. I got a phone call 20 min later and they told me that I was not covered. This company actually stated that because I found damage behind my windowsill from water intrusion, that it was "pre existing". How the heck am i supposed to know until it shows any damage! X-Ray vision??? Cut rate shister company, I wont be quiet about this! I will be cancelling my policy and I will be very vocal about this. BEWARE!!

I also repeatedly keep getting theses assumption letters. What happened to the days that you had free choice on choosing your own insurance company instead of Heritage cramming there policy down your throat like Obama care. If you do not go thru the opt out letter procedure the next thing you know you have a insurance inspector at your door wanting to inspect your home that heritage acquired without your consent. They really must be hurting for business to lower to this SCAM/tactic of acquiring but not retaining customers. Stay away. Tip, make sure you follow thru opt out letter via email confirmation or heritage will claim that they never received your letter.

As the result of an extensive water damage claim with Heritage Insurance Co. we lost the complete use of our house. However, following a call to my agent I was directed to a Mr. Tim Lawrence of the Clearwater Florida office who managed our claim in a timely and professional way thereby restoring our home as quickly as possible while caring for our lodging and living requirement during our absence. Mr. Lawrence took all of our many calls and questions providing the warmest customer service I have ever experienced. If I had the opportunity to choose 0 stars I would. I am a claim adjuster and if I work any claim like the way they "work" mine I would have been fired. Since August I filed a claim, they have sent an adjuster and an engineer to my house and we are in December and I have no heard from anyone yet. Not a phone call, not a letter, nothing. Called my agent and they advised that would try to help and I have not heard anything!!! I am filing a complaint with the Insurance Commissioner.

This company has some of the best rates I have ever seen in the state of NC. I have received top notch service from them. I read some of the other reviews, and all I care about is the service. If you pay you bills late, your gonna get cancelled no matter what company you deal with. And who cares about where the CEO lives, or how much he spent on his house? What doe that have to do with the service the company provides? Quit bringing in drama.

My Dad had a claim not long after switching his insurance to Heritage. He was cared for as if he had been a client for decades. Everyone he dealt with went over and above to make sure he understood the process and that everything was repaired as needed. As repairs were being made additional damage was found and that was fixed as well. My father is elderly, and they can often be taken advantage of. I was so glad that he was well cared for.

Sweat and tumble

Refused to replace our roof after a hail storm even after the first inspector they sent out said it needed to be replaced. During the process, we caught them falsifying documents to cover up the extent of the damage. As soon as we got an attorney involved, they issued payment. However, it cost us over $7000 in legal fees to get them to do the right thing and they have not yet reimbursed us that cost.

All of you who have had a horrible experience with this company should be happy to know the CEO is the highest paid executive in the Tampa area and he just purchased a large mansion on Culbreth Isles for $4.5million. I wish everyone great success in their business endeavors but it seems that these days, success is often gained with questionable business practices.
