Steve and Andy were professional, thorough and personable. This was our first cleaning of a fireplace insert with Northeastern Chimney. But they did way more than just clean the fireplace insert and liner. They started in the basement with the flu of our oil burner and then went on the roof. Last year we had a chimney liner for our oil burner installed by someone else, and after inspecting it from the top Steve and Andy informed us that it was very poor workmanship that would cause us problems very soon. We liked that Steve took pictures of the problem. He said the connector is galvanized steel instead of stainless steel and showed us where it is already rusting. He said the entire liner could collapse if it rusted through. Then he clearly explained what a proper installation should be. At our request he gave us a proposal for a new chimney liner to be installed by Northeastern Chimney and gave us a very good deal. Both Steve and Andy said they felt bad that the people who installed the chimney liner last year would do such a poor job. We feel fortunate to have found Northeastern Chimney and know they will take good care of us and keep our home safe. We highly recommend them.

It all started back in November 2015. I knew our 2 chimneys needed a thorough cleaning and probably a rebuild. Steve came out and provided the cleaning for our woodstove chimney and patiently explained my flue / liner problems. We went through the requirements of BOTH of my chimneys and set dates for December 2015 and April 2016. I was able to pull my own building permit to save some $. In December the cracked flue / liner for my smaller woodstove chimney was repaired. Northeastern was on time, quick and courteous with no mess! In April 2016 Gary, Phill, and Jason came out to perform the masonry job on my big chimney. The work took a few days and every night they cleaned up and covered their equipment and supplies. They completed the job yesterday and my husband and I are very pleased with the work. They also waterproofed BOTH chimneys upon completion of the big job. I would recommend Northeastern Chimney and intend to use them for regular cleanings in the future.

Northeastern Chimney was recommended to use by friends. We used them for our chimney cleaning. They called at least 15 minutes before their arrival time to let us know they would be arriving. Upon arrival, the representatives where very polite and professional. They provided us an estimate for work that needed to be done as part of the cleaning an inspection. We pushed the work off for a year. We called them to schedule the work and they came out to re-inspect to make sure that nothing had changed. Steve the rep called ahead of time, about 20 minutes to make sure that time was good for us. Upon arrival, he was polite and professional. He performed the inspection of the chimney and no new damage. He wrote up the new work order and was able to apply current discount offers which lowered the price. He went over the work order with me and explained what would be done. A very professional and polite business.

I was very pleased with the professional work completed by Northeastern Chimney Sweeps. They came to my loghome on three occasions. First, I needed a new damper because my old one was obsolete. This new one is ecological and all I have to do is pull a chain to open it everytime I make a fire. The technician gave me an estimate on chimney repair when I requested it since I knew that many of my bricks were crumbling. A second day, a crew of three men arrived early in the morning and worked all day until 7 PM installing 250 new bricks. They cleaned everything, washed my deck, and took away the rotted bricks. A third day a worker waterproofed my entire chimney on top and beneath the deck (both the new bricks and the old). All of the men who came gave me little tips on chimney and fireplace care. I was would highly recommend Northeastern Chimney Sweeps.

Have used Northeastern Chimney for several years for annual cleaning and maintenance. They are always professional and do a great job. We have a wood stove which adds a bit more into the usual cleaning mix - no problem. Over the years, various service techs have made recommendations for work that needed to be done and we never felt that we were being sold a sales pitch, have found that the work recommended should be done, and there is no pressure to do more than is required. Our most recent tech, Stephen, was helpful and informative. We have some maintenance issues that need to be addressed this year, but the fact that our chimney, flues and wood stove have consistently given us no problems over the years speaks volumes as to the care and maintenance that Northeastern has provided to keep things running properly.

Northeastern Chimney Sweeps is without a doubt the best chimney care company we have ever used, and will be the only one we use from now on. The first year we used this company there was an issue with one of our chimneys. The owner, David Lamb, came out that day to correct the problem. What an outstanding guy. The last two years Steve has taken care of our chimneys. We think so highly of Steve that we will request he get our service calls when we schedule our appointments. Northeastern Chimney provides knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and social people to come into our home and maintain our chimneys. Northeastern Chimney deserves a double A+ rating.

As a property manager serving several condo communities in Enfield and Suffield, I called upon Northeast Chimney to handle a difficult situation. The company sent Andy for the initial visit and the follow-up service. Andy was a true professional. He handled questions from the condo owner with ease and immediately made her feel comfortable about the issue. In the process, he educated me about proper chimney operations. I found Andy to be knowledgeable and a great representative of the company. Not only did the company accommodate my schedule, they called 30 minutes prior to arrival, and showed up on time! Steve and Andy did a great job with the cleaning of our chimney that is used for our pellet stove. On time and professional. I requested Steve this year since he did such a fantastic job last year getting the pellet stove back in, leveled and set to go in the winter. When it was time to fire up the stove in the winter there was no late night rattling noises since he took the time to get it set up straight - which is no easy thing with this stove. They took the time to answer questions and were methodical in their explanations. We have had Northeastern take care of all our chimney needs for the last 8 years and will continue doing business with them.

We called Northeastern Chimney after a chimney fire. They promtly came to our home and evaluated our chimney. We needed a new liner and decided to have them do the job. We were very pleased with the work and the the professional fellows that did the job. They left our home neat and tiddy. And now we have a safe chimney again. Update: we just had Steve clean our chimney 1/19/2016. He is very helpful, full of knowledge and we hope that Steve comes back again. He did a great job and spent a lot of time with my husband sharing information to keeping our stove working well and safe. I am very happy we use Northeastern Chimney.

Steve and Louis did a great job fixing a problem with our dryer vent. The vent was broken in several places leaving lint inside the our home. Steve and Louis fixed our potential fire hazard. They were very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We had another company clean our dryer vent yearly and found that they did it incorrectly creating breakage in our vent. We have had Northeastern Chimney clean our fireplace as well. Always professional and knowledgeable. We recommend this company and will call on Steve to do our vent cleaning as we know he will take good care of us.

These guys are true professionals. I called about getting my chimney swept and got someone on the first ring; no answering machine. They explained the process to me and I scheduled an appointment. They even pointed out a coupon I could use from their website. They showed up when they said they would, inspected all my flues, cleaned my chimney, and made zero mess. Gary and Raymond spent most of they rebuilding a portion of my chimney taking time to be sure all was done properly even though weather was rather cold. They cleaned all their work area and made sure I was satisfied with the outcome. They professional,and courteous. . Steve and Andy were prompt, courteous and conscientious about their work and clean up. Thanks! Steve returned today, 8/17/15, to fix the deteriorated firebox joints. He set his equipment up; carried out the repairs and cleaned up without leaving a sign of his efforts. He also was kind to explain how to avoid new damage and discussed the use of plates to diffuse the fire heat. Steve and Tom from Northeastern Chimney came to my rescue with a same day emergency call to remove a dead squirrel from the chimney. Their prompt response was much appreciated because the empty residence is for sale and potential buyers were complaining about a foul odor. Steve - You are the man!!! Talk about Mr. Clean - very meticulous when it came to protecting our oriental carpet in front of the fireplace before cleaning.
