I am a long time Solvit Home services customer. Their comprehensive suite of services provides one stop shop, rapid response peace of mind. Earlier this month Solvit performed an energy audit at my home. It was an extremely informative process with lots of information, demonstration of the issues found, discussion of options and warnings of pitfalls and misconceptions. It was a very confidence inspiring experience. I subsequently contracted them to perform some of the corrections and improvements identified by the audit. The installation crew arrived in a well marked vehicle, well presented in Solvit uniforms, made courteous introductions all around and had me very much at ease with giving them full access to my home. They were professional and efficient in the performance of their tasks, happy to explain what they were doing and why and careful to clean up and leave as little unnecessary impact as possible. I am very satisfied with the work and would definitely recommend Solvit Home services.

I have never written a review before but I feel very strongly and negatively about my experience with this company. This place rips their customers off. There were many good reviews (mostly for plumbing) so I had them come out to replace 6 outside lights. They told me over the phone that they would not give me a pricing estimate until they arrived but the service call would be $69. They came out and told me it would be over $1500.00 to do the job. I was astonished. I told him no and then he charged me $69 for doing NOTHING. The electrician said I would be surprised how often people just pay the $69 and send him away because of the extravagant pricing. After he left I called another electrician who is coming to do the exact job for $400.00! Avoid Solvit Home Services and save yourself time and money! I would give them no stars if that were an option.

We needed a plumber to fix several leaks we had in our home. I was lucky to find SolvIt Home Services through a google search. They send Tom S. over within a couple of hours. He quickly fixed all of my leaks! I had a radiator leak in my bathroom for a very long time that I was concealing with paper towels, but was dripping all the way to my basement. I also had a leak for the same about the same amount of time in my kitchen sink that ruined the floor of my cabinet. I do not know why I waited so long to get these things repaired. Tom was wonderful and a true professional. He went beyond what I expected to make everything right. I am extremely pleased with the work and advise he provided me. He is truly an asset to this company and a awesome human being.

Review for Solvit: Great service, quick scheduling process, flexible and fairly priced! I was in a real tight window situation with the sale of my house in Ct while living in new place in NY and there were follow up items from buyers inspection that needed to be taken care of right away and Massimo the hvac tech came right out same day and was able to review the problem, source the parts and remedy the issues within my furnace ie; new zone controls, flange and corroded pipes to that were leaking and had to be replaced. Thanks Again Solvit!

The whole team at Solvit did a great job. John Malachi did a great job understanding my needs and putting together a quote. The techs John, Leland and Pawel were all professional, personable and knowledgeable. They were on time, and did a great job installing as well as cleaning up any mess created during the install. They even helped me out with another delivery I had that day, helping carry a heavy machine and offering to remove the packaging material. I would highly recommend using Solvit and plan on using them again in the future.

I have been a customer of Solvit in the past for electrical work and was very pleased with the professionalism of the technician and the work he performed. So it was not a surprise that I found myself reaching out to them to schedule some needed plumbing repairs to my condo which included a waste disposal replacement. The technician showed up at the early end of the service window they gave me. Performed all of the necessary services that we needed with a professional and friendly demeanor. Everything works now as it should.

Matt A. was the technician who performed the regular maintenance check on my air condition unit. Matt was effective and efficient in performing the check. He listened to my concerns and resolved them. Thanks Matt. The one issue I had, not specific to Matt was that the service was scheduled to be performed between 8-10. Matt arrived at about 12 Noon. My understanding was that there was an emergency. The Solvit offices should have notified me regarding the delay and the reason for the delay.

Ray and his assistant arrived on time, then worked quickly and efficiently. They were respectful of my home, wore booties over their shoes which is appreciated as they had to go in/out a few times, and were careful to not let out the cat. They took the time to show how lighting would look before changing lightbulbs, put sealers around doors which had air leaks and covers on the bottom of doors where needed. Best of all they both had nice attitudes, and seemed to enjoy their work.

I like that when you call, the sales people make you feel comfortable and are eager to work out a flexible time for a service call, I find the service people, that perform the work, are timely, courteous, professional,and informative. Chris T. was able to diagnose a problem I had experienced with my new water heater, which was occasionally discharging water. He took a water pressure reading from the outside faucet . PSI was way too high at 90!! He recommended a pressure reducer valve with expansion tank and installed it the following week. Did a great job installing the valve and expansion tank. Very neat and meticulous at his work. A pleasure to do business with Solvit.

I was extremely pleased with the service provided by Chuck today for my kitchen sink. He was prompt, courteous and professional. He left the area clean and neat as well. I saw your trucks on the road, and that prompted me to call for this repair, as well as for some electrical work. I signed up for the plan, as well. I had a problem with my air conditioner and called SOLVIT they came the same day and (GREAT PLUS) but told me my unit had to be replaced. they gave me a $20,000 Quote after I came to I called Dynamic Mechanical (found them from the same search engine) they quoted me $8,500 had great refrences (my uncle recomended them) They did the job without a problem. and I saved around $11,500. Solvit has always provided excellent service and Chris went beyond expected service suggesting the anode rods in the hot water heater be checked. I was not surprised that they needed replacement. Hopefully this will lead to a few additional years of service. He also helped to provide a solution to moving the hot water to the other side of the house faster. We may indeed proceed with this solution.

Dave from Solvit came today to do preventive maintenance on my heating system. Dave is very knowledgeable tech, explained what he was doing & why. Dave changed some parts, explained what function the parts performed, what would happen if the parts were not changed. Dave gave me a few different options & explained them to me. Besides being knowledgeable Dave is customer focused & very personable.

Matt arrived later than expected, but Solvit at least called and let us know he was held up at a prior job. Matt made up for his late arrival by being incredibly efficient. He identified two problems with our air conditioning and fixed both - all in around 45 minutes. He was courteous and managed to get his shoe protectors on every single time he walked through the house. Thanks!

I have used Solv-It in the past several times with very good results thats until this past winter the house I own in West Haven Ct the boiler went out and the temp was going down to -2deg that night.the tech showed up and did nothing and at the end still wanted to charge me even though they told me the quote was free VERY dishonest people and I will NEVER use them again
