I have had different brokers from Bank of England call me over the course of the last year asking to meet with me to learn more about my business. I am a real estate broker. I kindly declined the first 5-6 times, and each times asked to be removed from their call system. When the calls continued after I had asked to be removed one of their brokers became very heated and said "I am just asking for you to meet with me and tell you about your business." At this point I called their main office in Greenwood Village. The manager apologized profusely, and put me on a do not call list (which I am already registered on). I have continued to receive multiple calls from Bank of England. Today was my last draw, when the gal explained who she was and I said "I have asked to be removed at least 12 times" she sighed and hung up. Bank of England, no one is going to choose to work with you by harassing them. I run and operate a successful business by being respectful to my counterparts and other industry professionals. You clearly are not hearing my request to no longer receive calls.

I’m giving some MAD PROPS to my man, Eric Phillips (aka my lending agent from Bank of England)...From the beginning, Eric demonstrated to me 100% that he is the kind of businessman that not only follows through and does what he says, but he goes the extra mile too. He is such a wealth of knowledge regarding his craft - I felt comfortable the whole time. That’s the way Eric operates. And frankly, the rest of the team at Bank of England has been awesome too (shout out to Matt Ortiz, Client Relationship Specialist, as well). I look at the other reviews and I’m like “whaaat?”. NOT my experience. Let me put it this way - if you want a loan officer that’s going to blow you off and be slow to respond, I would suggest not using Eric Phillips. Eric is going to communicate and follow through. I plan on utilizing his services again in the future. Guy knows what he’s doing and you can take that to the Bank (of England!).

Initially I was very impressed with the professionalism that this company first exuded. I provided every single piece of documentation in an expeditious manner as requested. They NEVER once indicated there was any issues whatsoever with the loan. Literally, the day prior to closing they called the Buyers Agent to say they would not be able to go forward with the loan! What?! How can you call this professionalism?! The sellers emptied the house and moved into a hotel only to be told no sale? I lost the appraisal and home inspection money, over $700 for NOTHING! People should not be played with in this manner! Just because you have numerous loans to close and money is not an issue, what goes around comes around! Folks, be careful! Go to a lender that will care for you as a person and not discard you as a commodity.

Working with Dan Filipi and his team at Bank of England has always been exceptional. I was referred to him by a friend who is a mortgage banker out of state so my expectations were pretty high. Dan not only met, but exceeded my expectations! He and his team are extremely responsive and efficient which is very much appreciated by someone with a Type A personality like myself. I was fortunate to come across Dan and His Team at Bank of England, who made the process seamless, easy and one of the best experiences of my adult life. Got Approved with a Score of 714 over the phone and they told me that it was OK for the Realtor to show us some houses. Got Disqualified the next day .
