These people took us for a ride... they charge over 6% in fees at closing that was not disclosed until the day we closed (the day before Christmas!). They tried to get us to sign the "rate lock in" paperwork without a single line filled-in, including the rate I was supposed to be locking in" They were not at the closing table to answer for the outrageous fees and rates they were charging us. When I addressed the "customer satisfaction guarantee" on the website there was no response and restitution for a lot of illegal action taken on their part. Stay away from these people.

I had the pleasure of working with Janie Taylor, of Taylor Mortgage Group, and my experience was amazing. I worked with a different lender before her and had nothing but problems because of their inexperience. When I called Janie she answered every question I had, she is very knowledgeable and the communication I had with her was above my expectation. Everything she said she would do for me she did, and the process of the loan went smoothly and timely. I would highly recommend Janie Taylor, Taylor Mortgage Group to anyone.

They were very helpful in finding me a lender for a land loan. Always answered emails and phone calls. However, 2 wks before closing, my down payment went from 10% up to 20% and being 2 wks before closing, I had no choice and had to find the extra 10% to come up with. It was very stressful. It felt like a bait and switch. However, I do understand how underwriting works, but would just liked to have known before versus panicking at the end.

This is my first ever 1-star review. Unfortunately, I found their office manager RB generally uninformed and incompetent and their president JT dishonest. This group completely mishandled my mortgage application. There are many choices when it comes to mortgages, and you would be well-served to take your business elsewhere.
