In the day and age of online business , such as ebay , paypal etc it can be that with no fault of your own your TCF bank account can end up with a negative balance while funds are being transferred from ebay to paypal to your TCF account TCF Policy is to charge you $28.00 per day for each day that your account is in the negative Though NO checks were ever written , I told the TCF rep When I opened the account that I did not want or need checks this account would be for my online business ONLY ! Was informed that in order to open the account I must order checks and I could destroy them when they come in.. What a way to do business .. Well over the holiday my account went into the negative for less than $15.00 because of the not needed checks.. I called TCF AND THEY SO KINDLY AGREED TO REVERSE ONE OF THE 28.00 PER DAY CHARGES. SO THAT MONDAY MORNING WHEN I WALK IN TO DEPOSIT FUNDS SO AS NOT TO BE IN THE RED , I WAS INFORMED MY NEGATIVE BALANCE WOULD GROW TO A NEGATIVE BALANCE OF $68.27 BY MONDAY MORNING..ALL FROM $11.27 NEATIVE PLUS $28.00 PER DAY.. ALL THIS FROM CHECKS I NEVER WANTED OR NEEDED ! I tell you , the customer service here is outstanding as long as you are deaf and blind .. Yes I will pay the fee and CLOSE MY ACCOUNT .. ONLY OPENED IT 3 weeks ago ! SAVE YOUR SELF THE HASSLE THE B.S AND SOME MONEY DO NOT BANK HERE !!!!!!!!

This bank is trash .....definitely will close account. How can your card not be communicating with visa? Then you call the 1800 number and they cant help and suggest you go to another atm or try credit. WHY DO I HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS FOR MY MONEY? Save yourself the hassle use Wells Fargo.

Really 28.00 a day for overdraft then not allowing my wife to suspend the account while I am deployed even though she has a power of attorney. Save your self some money and use Wells Fargo.
