I recently graduated from here and on my FIRST attempt; I passed my DMV test to receive a Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsements. In fact, I scored quite highly with the most difficult examiner at the Mountain View DMV; Glen. My experience with A-1 was top notch. Between Paul, the owner, and the rest of the instructors, they did a fantastic job getting me ready. I had visited 3 other schools prior to checking out A-1, and to be honest, by the time I got to A-1, I was having my doubts as to whether I wanted to follow through on enrolling anywhere. I won’t name the 3 other schools but I will say that 2 of them seemed very shady and did not have enough vehicles or space to effectively train anyone. And the 3rd school would not stop calling me on a daily basis to ask me if I was ready to enroll. On top of that, all 3 schools were charging $1000-$2000 more than A-1. Even though I was having my doubts about truck schools in general, after sitting down with Paul and talking about what I was looking to accomplish, touring the facilities and meeting the instructors, I felt very comfortable about handing over my hard earned money. The lot at A-1 is bigger than any of the other schools I visited and they have multiple trucks, trailers, bobtails and busses so there’s always opportunity to practice skills and enough instructors to get you plenty of on the road practice as well. Every student has a different style of learning and A-1 has you covered. As a new student I felt overwhelmed at first with the amount of information I needed to learn to get my permit, but the instructors did a great job of helping me learn in the style that worked for me. I worked with Paul, Vladimir, Richard, Dave and Elvira. All of whom did an excellent job teaching me everything I’d need to know. I would like to give a special thanks to Dave. Even though he was not my main instructor, he went out of his way to help me and did an outstanding job of getting me ready for my skills test at the DMV. He has the lot at A-1 set up to actually mimic the skills set up that they have at the DMV in Mountain View. If you have taken your skills test there, you know it’s pretty tricky, especially the alley dock test. With Dave’s help, I passed my skills test with flying colors. In my opinion, this is by far the best school you can enroll in to get your CDL. Thanks A-1!!

A-1 Truck Driving School Inc It is a very Cadre school instructors experienced, I take a crash course and in two weeks I got my LICENSED, the examiner of the DMV fell inprecionado how pass my prueva management, brakes, inspection and avilidades in prueva obstacles I am very grateful to all the knowledge that facilitated me instructors (David and Richard) are very professional and very avilidad to teach every day in class it was worth making the invercion at this school and really the price you pay for the destresa and saviduria I was taught horn and cheap parecion me qye from now on be able to continue helping mii family thanks to what I learned here I I recommend this school is a good invercion and doors for a major future is Avren Thank you

Six months ago I was laid from an employer who I had been employed with for over 12 years. It was a difficult period in my life as I was unable to find any work related to my specific profession. After several months of worrying how I was going to pay my expenses I was fortunate to find a job, however it required I posses a class B driver’s license. After an extensive search on the internet, and the personal recommendation from three of my friends I decided to call A-1 Truck Driving School in Hayward California. This was a telephone call I will never regret, as Paul answered the phone. I explained how I had never driven anything except for a sedan. Being sympathetic to my concerns Paul immediately set up an appointment at his Hayward office to address my personal needs. At the appointment Paul explained in detail how I would receive the proper amount of personal and driving instruction in order for me to successfully complete the necessary training. Feeling confident about my future prospects I paid an affordable fee for the training program. Within four short weeks I received my class B driver’s license and now I’m gainfully employed. I will always be appreciative for Paul and his father Mo, who both afforded me this opportunity to succeed. I will always be grateful for the knowledgeable and personable instructors at A-1. A-1’s instructors, Edger and Richard were pivotal in my success. I highly recommend A-1 Truck Driving School to anybody and would definitely use them again.

I recommend A-1 truck driving school to everyone. I went here to get my class A and Paul helped me sign up for the course. He is very straight forward and very helpful. I have been to 2 different driving schools … and I’m going to describe their differences. I went to a different school (not A-1) for my B license because it was less money, and you definitely get what you pay for. Although I passed, the thick accents of the instructors made them hard to understand and the larger volume of students only made it more difficult. Not to mention most of my learning came from the other students. At A-1, my experience was very different. When I decided to get my A license, I toured a few schools, and decided on this one due to the knowledge of the instructors. Paul worked with my crazy work schedule and had me come in every Saturday, and 2 weekdays as well in the afternoons which was extremely helpful. The instructors were all very good and explained things very well. Dave worked with me the most. He takes a complicated pre-trip, break its down and simplifies it. He tells you exactly what the DMV instructors are looking for while making the pre-trip quick and short while hitting every point. Dave also breaks down the alley dock and the parallel park procedures so everyone can understand and pass. The extra money I paid for this school was well spent and I would do it again, and recommend this school if you want to get your A or B.

I started this school in April coming only on Saturdays. I made an appointment with paul the manager and he enrolled me into the program for my commercial class A license. I came here with no experience with truck driving. I signed up and let me tell you, we started off by doing a great detail inspection which richard and bladimir trained me on and it was perfect for my exam. The school inspection is perfect for the exam that the DMV examiner said that this is the only school that really knows what they are talking about. I score nearly a perfect score. On to the driving, we started off with straight line backing. It was great i got plenty of skills training and they have great trucks and plenty of equipment so you are not waiting around for your turn. I passed my skills the first time. The school is great and very hands on. They do charge more but you are paying for the service and good teaching. If you enroll in the school, it is entirely up to you to make the effort to want to learn. They provide you with all the tools. The whole setup for the school is great and its huge for training. The management is wonderful and paul and mo are always their to encourage you to pass. They will do whatever it takes to give you the time. I highly recommend this school .. They are the best school in the bay area.. I appreciate all your help..

I had an excellent experience at A1 Truck driving School. They worked with my schedule because I was also working a day shift and going to the school after work. Dave, Richard and Bladimir are all awesome teachers. They all had different ways of teaching the topics but you can be assured that all of them know exactly what they are doing. They all have experience with the DMV and know exactly what you need to be taught to be successful in attaining your Class A/B license. This school is great because they are straight forward and they teach you what you need to know without wasting your time. They cannot pass the test for you but if you attend regularly, pay attention and show initiative you can be in and out with a license in no time. Too many times I have seen students not use their time to the full potential and end up having difficulties in passing the test. You must take full advantage of the school hours and instructors because they are good. I passed on my first try! Paul is very knowledgeable and gives you great information for what to expect at the DMV. I would recommend this school to anyone. Great experience, Great teachers and now I have a great job!

I came to A-1 truck & bus driving school looking to get my class A. Moe and Paul are great people. Right when you walk in the office they receive you with a smile in their face. great payment plan, pay as you go. class starts at 10am but their instructors are always around before hours for those who need a little extra help or accommodate there schedule. Right after my first week attending, I had second thoughts and decided I wanted a class B with passenger endorsement. I went to the office, talked to Paul and right away I was moved to the class B instructor. The first week I worked with Ricardo and Vladimir. both instructors are great. Then I was moved over to Dave... This guy is something else. Great guy, fun to work with and with all the knowledge you will need to pass your DMV test. Paul was constantly checking up on me if everything was ok or if I need anything which I appreciate. Had My Dmv test this past Monday and I got my CDL class B on my first try. all thanks to A-1 Truck & Bus Driving School and its outstanding owner and staff. Thanks a lot guys... definitely a crew that I would love to stop by and say hi in the future.

Hi everyone, when I was looking into going to truck driving school . I visited a1 truck school in right before Christmas and enrolled into their program and I was very impressed from the get go. I met with Paul which is a great guy and easy to work with. I had my permit before I started and he got me an appointment date for DMV for my driving test. The training was excellent and very hands on material. The instructors Richard, Bladimir which are both bi lingual SPANISH/ENGLISH instructors are the best and very helpful. David is very detailed and will push you hard to be on point when your exam is scheduled. I found that the staff and environment at a1 truck driving school was very professional. Overall I was very pleased and well spent the extra money ( prices are reasonable ) , you pay what you get for and this school is worth every $$$$.. If your looking to go to school come to a1 and you will be satisfied!! I finished my course in about 4 weeks like what I was told. I already referred two of my friends .. thanks again Hector A

I would like to commend the staff at A-1 Truck & Bus driving school, my experience was that this company is outstanding at what they do. I found them to be professional, friendly and very knowledgeable, I came to them needing a class B to drive a bus and was under time consraints, I needed to get my license asap. They were the only one I found who would/could work with me, they got me in got me trained, and got me to the DMV for my appointment/test within a matter of days, Paul J at the point staying on top of everything making sure that the whole operation runs smooth, and that the students goals are accomplished, Elvira was a great instructor, with knowledge and encouragement, even other instructors who had no incentive whatsoever to even speak to me would on various occasions share from their vast experience and be a source of encouragement. A-1 is an outstanding company and anyone looking to achieve their class A or B I would highly recommend you consider A-1.

A-1 Truck and Bus Driving School is a wonderful experience, I received my class A license about 3 years ago with the help of the instructors who are very helpful, patient, and fun to work with. I just recently went back to get my Class B Passenger Endorsement and it was great. They have more instructors than before and even more vehicles to practice with. The Owner Moe is very approachable and easy to talk to. His General Manager Paul is very professional and always on point making the running of the school look effortless, always making sure everyone is getting the time and attention you would expect in a school of this high-caliber. I would like to thank Dave one of the instructors for his teaching, which was very precise and entertaining which helped greatly in the learning and retention of the coarse material. The team work and comradery is second to none at A-1. I highly recommend this school to anyone trying to acquire a commercial license.
