Steve Haynes of Aurora Financial was extremely helpful. I was trying to close a refinance while traveling on business around the country. Steve and his associates bent over backwards to use email and faxes to get all the forms signed and processed. I was in conferences most of the day, but he was always available by phone to answer questions or fix problems that arose in my trying to get documentation remotely. When he wasn’t there, he had a alternate contact to help me. When the final closing was delayed due to delay in the IRS responding to verification requests, he arranged for my rate lock to be extended at no cost to me. He arranged for the title company to send a notary public to my hotel in Colorado to notarize the final closing paperwork. And Aurora had the lowest rate available for my loan, which was above the normal limit of $417,000. Unlike most other mortgage companies, which only offer a regular lower rate and a Jumbo rate, Aurora has an intermediate rate which was the lowest available. This was the 2d time I had refinanced with Aurora. The first time I had researched low rates on the internet. There were 3 companies with the lowest rates. Two of them had bad records of complaints. There were complaints about companies in the Western US which had similar names, but a close look showed that Aurora Financial of Vienna, VA, had an exemplary history. I was very happy with my first refinance and very happy with the second.

Great customer service!!! Louis T. and Maria B. were both great in assisting me with the refinancing of my FHA loan into a conventional loan. I contacted Louis on 04/03/15 and was able to close on by 04/20/15, but I chose to close later. I was able to obtain the lowest interest rate compared to other lenders I contacted. They worked with Global Title. Denise M. at Global was also great. Between Louis and Denise, my questions were answered quickly, efficiently, and kept me at ease. I would highly recommend Aurora Financial. Everyone involved did a wonderful job. Everything was done via email. The key is to have all of your paperwork ready to go. Definitely an A+ company.

I am an attorney and my wife is a busy senior executive at a large publically traded company. Very recently, we purchased a home in Southlake, Texas and used Aurora Financial for the loan. While I was initially skeptical about using a lender thousands of miles away from our locale, Aurora Financial quickly put my fears to rest. Marzetta Hamilton (the loan processor) and Louis Therot (the loan officer) were a pleasure to work with and were highly professional in all respects. In the end, the loan closed on time as promised and, more importantly, without any last minute suprises. In short, I highly, highly recommend Aurora Financial.

I worked with Stanley Schurtz for refinancing my home. Stanley was very professional and prompt. The entire Aurora Financial team (Mario Jimenez,Janet E. Johnson and Maria Bouhou) provided exceptional support and service throughout the entire process. I got the best rate and they took care of all the services. I contacted Aurora through Zillow referral with attractive mortgage rates. I got contact by David Gravely shortly after I queried about the mortgage. Dave was able to provide me itemized list of quote and rate with explanations to earn my trust at first place. Since I bought a short sale house, the process took much longer than usual. Be careful with Aurora. You might get inexperienced mortgage consultant, who will cause you a lot of expenses like appraisal fee, funds wiring fees, lost opportunity from sold equity, a time time time spent filling out all these stupid forms... a whole month of back and forth - to get a disapproval of mortgage at the end. At least Aurora admitted messing up the case, and we got $400 back from them, but this negative experience cost us much more than $400. Aurora messed up Russia in 1917, I should have known better...

My initial loan was financed by Arora Fin and when I decided to refinance, I shopped around and compared the rates and the closing cost. None of them were as low as Arora offered. My refinance went very smooth and fast. Worked with Stanley Mitchell, he responded very quickly with GFE, locked in the rates and followed up and processed my loan pretty fast. After singing the closing documents, the rate dropped a bit more which they honored me. I would recommend all my friends to Arora Financial.

My refinance with Aurora went smoothly. Aurora got us the lowest rate that we could find online. Our mortgage banker was Nick Odle. He was responsive and professional. They promised to get the loan closed in three weeks and it actually did close on time. There were a couple hiccups with providing documentation but that is to be expected these days. The extra documentation didn’t seem to slow down the process at all. I’m glad we worked with them and we plan to come back to them in the future.

Refinancing with Aurora was an excellent experience. After an initial conversation with David Gravely, a GFE was provided by return e-mail. [The numbers were right on! - there were no surprises at the closing.] The only glitches that occurred, with the title company, were quickly resolved as soon as Dave became aware of them. If you have excellent credit, a good loan to equity ratio, etc - I doubt that you could have a better experience than we had with Aurora.
