Horrible customer service. I have been with them for several years. Never contacted them for an issue because I handle everything online. However, when I did have an issue they did not rise to the occasion. The One time I had an issue, they drop the ball and they have handled it poorly. I was called by the Fraud department regarding charges. I advised I did not authorize, they shut down the card, but then advised I have to call Langley FCU to have the charge refunded. Ok. It was around 9PM EST and I could not speak to customer service because they were closed. I called the next morning at 7AM and they were still closed. Called again at 830AM, reached a customer service rep, who I advised of the situation. I asked her what type of Fraud Prevention methods do they use, because I was very upset they allowed charges to post to my checking account after they flagged for fraud the day before. The representative basically said they do not have any. Fraud happens all the time. I understand that, but I would think that they have a way to prevent it or at least stop it sooner. I had 4 withdrawals from my account. I was then advised I needed to complete a fraud claim form. She said they would send me an email, OK. I ended up being very busy at work and by the end of the workday, noticed no email. I called them again about the email, this time I finally got the email. I submitted the form that evening. The next day I checked my account and the bank had not refunded my money. So, I decided to give them 48HRS. I called on the second day of waiting. I asked for the status of my fraud claim. I was advised that the fraud unit did receive my claim, however it has not processed yet because they have so many fraud claims that mine is in their que to be reviewed. So, if Langley has that many fraud claims, wouldn’t fraud prevention be something you should work on. So, then I asked the representative, how long will it take for the funds to be returned to my account. She stated 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS! I was appalled, first of all you’re a bank, second, you loan people money, but you cannot return my funds in a shorter time? That’s ridiculous! I asked for a manager, I was placed on hold and transferred to a VOICEMAIL! The first rule of customer service regarding transferring a call is to WARM transfer a customer, especially when the call is an escalated one, but this is pretty much a standard for organizations that care about quality customer service. The complete lack of care or consideration makes me ready to terminate my business with them. When looking for places to do your banking, don’t look here and do your research regarding their policies and time frames.

My husband and I went in to set up an account and take advantage of a lower interest rate. Betsy took the time to assist us in all our banking needs. Betsy was kind and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She pulled out coloring books for the kids and stayed late to ensure we had everything we needed!
