There are very few places where you can find the view, the activities and the unique culture that Leavenworth, WA provides. The Bavarian theme is more than just the decor... it is the culture, the service and quality of life. Recent visit proved again why so many go out of their way (including me) to visit this little town. The streets are a place where people stop to take their photos with the town and mountains as the background. There is music and performance in the streets and having a crowd gathered is commonplace. Appreciation in a bundle goes out to those in this little town of Leavenworth, WA. Great experience and worth the trip.

My husband and I attempted to visit Leavenworth today 7/18/15 we arrived at about 1 p.m., I am handicapped and have a handicap parking permit from the state of oregon. I was very disappointed as was my husband we could not find one place to park and did not see one handicap parking spot. We even would of paid to park but nothing at all. We drove from Pendleton Oregon and did not even get to go into one building. We visited about ten years ago and had no problem finding parking, I understand things change as the community grows but you should have handicap parking available.

Dear Leavenworth, Wenatchee, and beautiful surrounding areas. ... I love the area but I have to say, another weekend on Highway 2? Never again. There needs to be some stronger lobbying about the issues with this highway, which have been ongoing for years. Not to mention, the brilliant idea of putting in a roundabout near Sultan was a joke. WSDOT should know by now that Washingtonians and certain tourists will never figure them out. Sorry it is so difficult to get to you!

Great get away place to visit. As for better transportation options a day train from Seattle is needed. Leavenworth needs to lobby wdot for a day train to Spokane and return in evening. We came here on amtrak and took the leavenworth shuttle $2.50 each way a bargain

I really enjoyed this place. The people are kind and friendly. The food all over this place was outstanding. I went in the summer and yes it was very hot but it was still fun. I really want to visit in the winter with all the snow.

Great trip out from Seattle. Nice Bavarian town and decor. The shops are fun, great place to walk around and sightseeing.

Lots of pamphlets and everyone seemed pretty knowledgeable. You can get postcards here for .30 or 4/$1.
