Have called my work repeatedly, when they reached me they told me I had three options to settle my debt all of which required me to pay large sums of money I did not currently have (including wanting $500 upfront, three payments of $660, or 7 payments of $270), when I told them I could pay a reasonable amount of $150 a month for 12 months to resolve the debt they said I was refusing to pay. Most debt collectors would be happy to accept your money, but this one seems intent on not resolving debts.

Agent Nancy hung up on and proceeded to LIE when I called her back to ask why she hung up on me. She then started yelling at me not letting me get one word in... When I asked for a supervisor, claimed she is supervisor... Finally after yelling at me for a few minutes finally patched me thru to a voicemail supposedly of someone with more seniority than her... I am sure it was just a ranfom voicemail... I am so mad.... What a joke!!!

Worst experience ever. I called to work out a student loan debt and they tried to use strong arm tactics to force me to agree to a payment option. I said I could give them money down today but I wanted to think about my options and then the supervisor got on the line, verbally harassed me, talked over me and refused to have a conversation. Keep in mind I called them and offered money. What a horrible customer service experience.

Thieves, scammers. Claiming to be U.S Department of Education. Took $3600 tax refund out of bank account while in the middle of relocating without any warning. I am now homeless because of this. Investigating them and trying to get my money back. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFO.

They will eagerly ding your credit and pursue collections without proof of a valid debt. Treat them like scammers, because they essentially are.
