Since writing the below review EMI did indeed work out the problem with the Insurance Exchange and have reinstated my coverage without any termination breaks. Since this first encounter with EMI service they have been great. They contacted me by phone to let me know they were working to resolve the problem and kept me updated every step of the way until resolution was made. Their willingness to acknowledge my complaint then make good on the mistake is the level of service any customer should expect. They have regained my confidence and I plan to continue my coverage them moving forward. _________________________________ In renewing my coverage from 2014 to 2015 on the Insurance Exchange I was given incorrect information by EMI. EMI admits that the information that gave me was incorrect and ended up canceling my policy as of 12/31/2014 without notice. They have continued to accept and cash my first two payments for 2015 and most likely would have continued to accept future payments if I was not alerted by my Dentist that my claim for basic check-up was denied. All I have asked from EMI is that they reinstate my coverage as of January 1st of 2015 given they have accepted and cashed my checks for coverage in 2015. EMI refuses to make good on this mistake and blames the Insurance Exchange.

So earlier I posted a scathing review. EMI has since gotten back to me and we got everything worked out. I will say this, the people who reply to their emails are much more responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable than the people at the call center. So if you are in a sticky situation and need quality service, go to their website, click "Contact" and email them, rather than call them.

EMI~ Enormous Mass of Idiots. The Dental department was very helpful and nice. but the Medical team....fire them all and start over. fighting with Doctors about letting a patient have radiation? and that is just the beginning. pay more and go else where it is worth it.

Very very bad, I had autopay set up with them. For some reason there was an error with it and they cancelled my policy. Now I have to wait 6 months for any dental work. Thanks for absolutely nothing.

I called customer service today just to understand a claim. the representative was rude when I asked for clarifications, and made me feel stupid for not understanding right away.
