The only reason this college has students is because people are desperate to get the most economical education and they are willing to put up with ANYTHING in order to get it! NOBODY, in any department, knows what in the world is going on. The left hand does not speak to the right hand. I was already enrolled and attending classes when I called to ask a simple question. I was told that I was NOT enrolled and they did not know why I was taking classes!! Honestly, I would be ashamed to be the president or on the board of this college. Employees are poorly trained. Its like this college employs the lowest of the low. Absolutely no sense of customer service or desire to help students. I have a degree from Texas State, and a teachers certification from UTSA and I am employed by the largest school district in San Antonio. I have been a teacher for over 15 years. I came back to San Antonio College to pursue another bachelors degree and I was shocked! This college is truly a failure to our students and our community. Shame on you Dr. Robert Vela, for being so blind to our students needs! I encourage you do whats right and change your colleges approach to helping students succeed.

I have called and gone up to the school for the admissions/registration process several times and each time they give me different information. The staff is not informed so they transfer my call or send me to another office where low and behold they also do not have the proper information. I have submitted everything they could possibly need. I went up for orientation and was denied completing the process because their CIS dept. has not pulled my transcript which I made sure was submitted to them ahead of time and confirmed by my last school. Ridiculous! The business center is also ill-informed. They do not seem to know how to tell apart which student needs which type of payment plan. My awarded financial aid is sitting there but the school has not accepted/pulled it. The school told me that I would have to make a down payment of $25 and another person said $173 plus $25 fee. That is a big difference! So many students will give up or take their money else where if they do not change this process.

These people I swear to god was found at the unemployment line. Now I NEVER post anything about anybody but in this case I had it. I thought maybe someone can feel what im feeling. These people at sac do NOT im mean DO NOT know what there doing. Everytime I call anybody regarding school they transfer me to a dumb person then that dumb person transfer to another. Im about to start school and they cant even put in the right information about me. The other day I called them about changing my status to in town resident cause it said I was out of town resident. So you know what they do? They change it.......then they change right back to out of town. It matters because it cost 10x more for classes so besides a class being 300$ its 2000$ so yea sorry if ur like me going to a bodonk school. But welcome to SAC. Expect these things.

When calling to obtain information regarding a continuing education course (nursing department) I was transferred to Lupe Herrera. I asked my questions and she answered in a very dismissal way and was very rude. I asked for her name and she SHOUTED "WHY!? I GAVE YOU THE INFORMATION YOU ASKED!! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?" ask if she panicked on why I asked her name and began yelling through the phone. This was not the first time I call. I had been trying to call weeks in advance but not once have I got through. The only reason I got through this time is because I had to spoke to the main office and they had to go on a search for her to get the information I needed. I understand maybe she was having a bad day but that is NO WAY of treating someone.

the worst help given to students, be prepare to receive thousand promises and spend several hours in the phone and at the end of the day achieve nothing!. nobody is willing to help and no body is fully trained to address your questions, needs and concerns. they will drop the ball and transfer the call from department to department. If that is the administrative side of the school I can imagine what would the academic part of the school be. Please consider to invest your money and time in a place where the staff is willing to help the students and provide quality service for your academic path to be successful.

Classes are good about 75% of the time; while the majority of instructors are excellent, a good few have lacked motivation completely and give no help to the students whatsoever, setting them up for failure. Extracurriculars are bountiful, and student life is good. Ample opportunities to transfer. The administration is absolutely terrible, however. I have had missing grades, mystery charges/holds, and been placed in the wrong classes way too many times by people who claim to be experts in their fields. Do your time, teach yourself what you need to do to graduate, and get out!

All I can say is you get what you pay for. If you are looking to not break the bank by getting your education, the cuts in tuition cost come from somewhere. This college uses mainly student employees at lower levels. So when you call you get 7 different answers for 5 people. But if you can speak with your teachers and directors they are exceptionally knowledgeable. Ive gotten 2 degrees from here...my recommendation is do everything you possibly can by yourself thru the online system and try to avoid dealing with the chaos that is campus.

Im trying to enroll at SAC, I already have a degree from a university here in SA. I wanted to go back and do a career change...I agree that the admin dept. have no idea want to do. Im just now learning that I have holds that they never told me about when I was there last month (spent 3 hours ) do all they had told me I needed to do,. So now I find myself AGAIN jumping through hoops to get enrolled. If you are trying to get a hold of ANYONE by phone forget ...all you get is a recording telling you to call back later .

Financial Aid is difficult to get, long process, Several Rules to follow and it seams you need to pass a class just to get in college here. Long lines, every department have their own rules and must follow and complete, miss some rule and you will not receive financial assistance or any type of emergency funding. Their ACES and classes have ads now that bother when you are taking assignments. We just want to get in class and continue our education but so many rules here make it impossible!!!!

horrible international office. after my experience with SAC i would never advice you to apply for this college as a international student. the fat man which sitting inside the office always close his office early for brake. even more this guy dont wanna give you enough information for you. you should knock for a while until he will open the door, so if you would try to apply over there. ask martha she will help you, because she is nice, but still i would never advise you apply in this college.

This school was great for me. I sailed through, received my Associates of Arts, and moved on to a 4 year university. It is college, the people I seen that had the most trouble are the ones that failed to follow through, make an effort, or check their emails. You have to be pro active, and ambitious. You have to work for it, they are not just going to hand you a degree! I feel some students were more worried about finding a relationship, rather than focus on school.

Going back to college after 30 years is scary. I am a Radio, TV, Film major. The teachers are fabulous with lots of professional experience. I am amazed with the hands on experience we get. SAC has a radio station with lots of opportunities to learn and grow in the profession. If you are considering enrolling, go and meet with the department of your major, they are very helpful. San Antonio College is the best kept secret in San Antonio. Great teachers and low cost.

Admissions is a complete nightmare. Registering for classes is nearly impossible. No one you talk to has any idea about what to do and they bounce you around to different areas with no resolution. They also canceled a class a week before it was going to start (which i understand - probably not enough students) but they gave ZERO notification of this whatsoever and I just happen to check my class schedule and found out. Cheap though. $$.

I had the opportunity to attend as an international student for a semester and has been a pleasant experience, office friendly international students and well-educated in the field of ingeneria.

We have worked with the design/architecture department for 20 years giving tours and sometimes employing students. The teachers we know all care greatly about their students. The quality of learning can be equal to expensive, small private colleges because of the class size (trust me, personal college experience plus we offer tours to those schools, too) You can get as fine an education as you want here, if you do the work!

Absolute worst school in Texas, possibly America. The administration and people working with the inner workings of the school are inept. Every time I call, I get hung up on or transferred to the wrong department. I cringe every time I have to visit the campus, because I know, I will be directed in 12 different directions, all because no one truly knows what is going on and where to go. SAC, truly a frustrating experience.

To be honestly fair, once you are in you are OK. The admissions department really needs to get their stuff together. I had to do 99% of the footwork to do their jobs. It was even more of a battle with my transcripts getting reviewed. I then took advantage of the cross-school function and got the rest of the requirements that I needed (TSI-exemption, orientation, etc..) at North East Lake view.

Worst experience ever, I was a student back in 2010. All I was trying to do is pay a balance for a parking ticket from 2010. Nobody could help me I got transferred countless times and dropped off the line. When I did get to a person to help me I was instructed they were going to need to research it What! I just want my official transcript that I payed for so I can attend a real college.

San Antonio College are the best combination of tuition and quality. I found support and understanding here. SAC gave me a lot of experience for my profession and future life. The only trouble I have with math (I am not agree that it is necessary for all majors) but this is my personal mental problems. I love SAC and would recommend it for young and adult students!

My daughter had major admission problems, always got the run around on the phone, always got hung up on while being transferred, no one knows anything. Finally after months of phone calls got enrolled only to start school and never ever find a parking spot. Save your time and spend a little extra and enroll in a 4 year university!

I have been trying to reach continuing education personnel with no answer . They get paid to not answer the phone very frustrating .Customer service is 0 .All what they care about is money i hope that thing will change one day .Also , I wish if there were No star option certainly that would have been my rating .

This has to be one of the most unorganized and unprofessional community colleges in Texas...maybe even the country. The staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing and there appears to be zero accountability for their actions. You should definitely consider other options before you attend classes here.

The place that gives everyone the chance to succeed. Anyone who complains about this school needs to reevaluate what got them to this establishment. For the price you pay, the education you receive at this institution is exceptional. You get what you put in. Some of the teachers at SAC are excellent.
