To Whom It May Concern: The following is a brief summary of my experience of having a felony charge and having Mrs. A. Summersett as my attorney. When I went to arraignment on a felony charge, I was appointed Mrs. A. Summersett as my attorney. One of the bailiffs stated that, “I had a damn good attorney.” Within 24hrs I received a visit from Mrs. Summersett, which was surprising as well as reassuring. The most important thing that came from that initial visit was that I felt like I was listened too. I wasn’t rushed because we we’re sitting behind a glass partition. The visit ended with me feeling very optimistic about my case. Less than a week later, I was visited by a Private Investigator that Mrs. Summersett had requested to have in my case. A former Police Officer, he was attentive, asked questions, and took notes. I knew from then on that I would have a fair chance of being cleared of these charges. My bond was set at a ridiculous amount, there was no way I could afford it, nor was it fair. I voiced my concerns about the bond amount to Mrs. Summersett, who reassured me that we would ask for a bond reduction. In less days than was expected, I was brought forth to a bond hearing in which I was granted a bond reduction of more than $60,000. I was able to post the bond and fight my case while being free. I always felt pleased in the way Mrs. Summersett approached my case, that we would be Proactive rather than Reactive. I had giving my attorney the truth from the start, where as she could develope a sound defense. Presenting my case in front of the Grand Jury was always considered our first priority. I had a tough Prosecutor, who was not willing to bend despite the odds. I was shocked to know that they we’re seeking a double-digit sentence. In less than 5months my case went before the grand jury, I received a No-Bill on my charge!! Although the experience of going through a Felony charge was very frustrating, the reassurance I received from my legal team was comforting. I can only say Thank You so many times. MY CASE WAS DISMISSED! I was charged with Theft of Services based on a rental contract that had my name on it, even though my boyfriend at the time was the one who bought the TV. He never paid, and fast-forward to the end of last year, I was arrested on this and that how I found out this case was pending against me. I called the District Attorney’s Office to see what I could do and they told me it was a Class A misdemeanor and that I could go to jail for up to a year. They told me I needed to get an attorney. I started calling around. I think I talked to about thirty attorneys. I probably got 50 letters in mail from attorneys. I talked to a lot of attorneys, somewhere inexpensive, one or two were more expensive. One guy even called me back and tried to scare me into hiring him by telling me my life was over. Benson and his firm was different. They took time to get to know me, my problem, and find a solution specifically for me. One thing that I remember, and ended up being true, is Benson told me he would do everything he could for me, but I had to hold up my end of the bargain. He guided me through the steps we needed to take and he wasn’t easy on me. There were times I didn’t think I could get everything done. But this firm got me through it. Because of everything he did, Benson got my case dismissed. I worked really hard to get to the place I am in life. Benson made sure there I didn’t end up with a criminal conviction or go to jail. I trusted Benson with my future and my record and he saw me through. I am really beyond happy with what he did for me. I would recommend Benson to anyone who is arrested for a crime in Tarrant County.

After spending over 30 years dealing with attorneys on the criminal justice side of the coin, I found myself in need of a criminal attorney myself. Like most people, I hated the thought of dealing with the criminal justice system and the stress and pressure was almost overwhelming. The knowledge and preciseness in which my case was handled was better than I could have ever expected or asked for. The personal attention that was extended to me can only be described as stellar. Christy Jack, she was the best lawyer I couldn’t of been blessed with anyone better. I would recommend her to anyone. She was only my court apt. attorney at that.
