This collection agency is a joke! I was part of a medical fraud case in the state of Utah and this company began to call and harass me daily on several bills that were fraudulent. They did not take the time to validate the bills and when they were asked to present the billing for validation, they refused! I spent almost six months working and waiting on them to produce legitimate bills. They could never provide the billing but continued to report them to the credit bureaus. After almost a year of battling with them, we ended up going to court to finalize this battle. They were ordered to drop the bills because they could not be legitimized by them and they were told to update the information on my credit report but do you think they did what they were ordered to do??? HECK NO! Here it is almost another year later and we are still dealing with their fraudulent practices and they have yet to update the credit rating as they were told to do. This company is simply looking for funds and they will do it in any manner necessary even if that means doing so fraudulently. They will NEVER acknowledge that they are crooked and dishonest. HONEST companies acknowledge errors when they occur. BEWARE and always ask for copies of the original billing from them so you know for sure that it is an honest debt. Due to the medical fraud happening attached to my name and SS #, I have had the pleasure of dealing with numerous collection agencies and this is the ONLY ONE that is truly DISHONEST in their dealings!

Well realizing first there a collection company explains alot. But after the harassing phone calls and the snooty bitches on the other end I thought of something. They make like 8 dollars an hour and probably rely on my taxes to feed there family. After finally going into there office to pay my debt, (which is my bad) I realized that the unprofessional conduct and repeated harassing phone calls even after i made multiple request to not call during work hours was just how they do business. Thus a collection company and there reputation. My advice is to file complaints against this company with the better business bureau. Which I did this morning. Sooner or later they will realize they cant continue to harass people and they should address people with respect

I had recently gotten a call from mountain land collection agency regarding a med bill that I had no idea I had. The day that the first payment was to come out I had an emergency c-section and of course they freaked out like i was lying and called me the day that I got out of the hospital demanding the payment be payed that day or they were going to send me to the attorneys for collection if i didnt pay that day. i told them i couldnt afford 150 dollar a month payments at the moment and asked if i could give them $25 payments till i get back on my feet. they refused and said that 150 was the lowest they could get it. i couldnt do it so of course they sent me straight to the attorneys office. VERY BAD SERVICE, VERY RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE WORKERS.

I am the collections manager for Gold Cross Ambulance and have had the pleasure of working with the fine people at Mountain Land Collections. I know collection agencies get a bad rap sometimes especially by those they have to go after. I have worked with many collection agencies that are not professional or kind, but the people at Mountain Land are compassionate and caring people. They have a job to do and do it in a kind and professional way. If people would work with their creditors and be honest, they would not end up with a collection agency. Communication is the key. The only ones we turn over to outside collections are those who ignore our requests to contact us for payment arrangements or a hardship write off.

We NEVER received a bill, a statement, or a notice in the mail. We never got a phone call to ask if we were willing to pay. This collection account suddenly appeared on my credit report. I have been disputing it since 2005. Fortunatly, TransUnion removed the account, but every year I send letters to Equifax and Experian, and will continue to do so for as long as it takes. I refuse to pay for something that I am being charged interest on, and was NEVER given the chance to pay before it got put on my credit report. Horrible people.

I unfortunately have had to deal with collection agencies in the past. And I am always relieved when the case is turned over to Mountain Land. I think they are easy to work with. As long as you own up to your own bad.. whether it was during hard times and you are not trying to be dishonest by not paying a medical bill.. In the end, it is still your bill and you should rightfully pay it.

While the individual on the phone was more or less civil(at first), I had no idea this bill even existed until it showed up on my credit report 3yrs later. It should have been paid by medicaid. The lady said she would mark it as disputed, but then went on demanding full payment, would not work with me on the balance, and acted like I was stupid for not wanting to pay.

In one week, I have recorded at least two Fair debt collection practice violations from this company. First, attempting to threaten to pay off a debt that was past the statue of limitations, and the other was illegally attempting to process a payment without my permission.
