I cannot express my gratitude and complete satisfaction for the team at Donegal that handled my claim. They walked me through every step after a fire destroyed my home and its contents. From the temporary accommodations to the finalization the staff was very professional, courteous and answered all questions quickly. I have always heard of horror stories dealing with insurance companies with such a large claim, Donegal went above and beyond to ensure we received full compensation for our loss. Special thanks to Stacey Callahan for her patience and finding additional funding and the guys from Enservio, Dennis and his partner went through the entire structure conducting an inventory and were just great. I have nothing but good things to say about Donegal. Recently my wife was in a minor accident and we had to file a claim for repairs. Everyone involved with the claim was friendly, polite and professional. We got the car repaired by the shop we wanted to do the work, had a decent rental while the work was done, and the car was back in a week. Towing, rental fees, and repairs were all paid for no questions asked. We were only responsible for our deductible. Donegal turned what started out as a traumatic event for my wife, into just another minor life issue. We have our home and auto policies bundled together, and I find the rates to be very competitive. I was involved in 2 auto accidents in different vehicles. ,The accident on January 8th was my fault, I slid off an icy road and hit a post. The second accident was on February 8th when another driver hit me in the rear. Both repairs were hindered, the first by an incompetent repair center and the second because of parts availability. Along the way Harold Harrington (the estimator) of the Donegal Insurance Group was a calming force for me and he was instrumental in me getting one vehicle back earlier than what was originally estimated. He is a value to all those who are insured by The Donegal Group!

Worst customer service every! Set up for auto draft for a specific date and after three attempts they cant seem to auto draft on that date. Their response is well if it falls on a weekend or a holiday it wont draft on that date, which I accept. What I dont understand is how we have another policy and it IS drafted on the correct date. Received 3 notices that the payment would be drafted on the original date to no avail. Even had remark well the new policy is on a different system. Like HUH! Never had this kind of stupid service!!!!!1

Donegal Insurance and its employee Gary Klenkel made a very stressful situation a lot less stressful. Within minutes of explaining my problem to Mr. Klenkel, he sprang into action. He contacted vendors on our behalf, was extremely attentive to our needs, and always professional. As further proof, well after normal business hours on the night of our incident, I called Mr. Klenkel with an important question, and to my pleasant surprise he answered the phone. I give Mr. Klenkel and Donegal Insurance Group my highest recommendation.

This past summer a major storm damaged my roof. Donegal was quick to respond and work with me through the process and I was able to get a replacement quick and easy. During the roof replacement, the water line running to my refrigerator broke and flooded my basement. Again, Donegal was quick to respond, easy to work with, and I was able to replace damaged carpeting and ceiling tile quickly. Everyone there was quick to respond, always helpful, and provided detailed information on what they needed to complete these jobs.

Donegal was great to work with. When I had a water claim, one of the adjusters advise me that when they stained the floor in my home, we might not be able to stay in the house. He said Donegal would pay up to 3 nights in a hotel. Then also said, that the hotel did not have to be close to my house, just in the same price range. So if my wife and I wanted to do a weekend get away this could be a good time. That it might relieve some of the stress from the claim.Thanks for the heads up Donegal. We had a great time.

I have had Donegal auto insurance for six months. On Friday afternoon the start of labor day weekend I was in a auto accident. I did not get any support from Donegal because of the holiday weekend so I had to wait 4 days with no help and had the call them even though the had the report. I find it funny that these Insurance companies are no shows when it is a peak accident weekend. So unless you have a accident Monday thru Friday 9 to5. You are on your own.

Hit a deer and totaled our van on Thanksgiving Day (12:30am). Customer service was open, but no services were available (insurance closed?!)...However, they paid a $1300 tow bill (for a 1/2 mile to the garage!), waived our deductible, paid for a rental until we found a replacement van (about 3 weeks), and paid a very fair price for our total loss. All at HUNDREDS cheaper than ANY other insurance company.

I was hit by one of there clients and they were horrible to deal with. I have never been so mad when I got off the phone. I want to know that if I have an accident that my insurance company will help me take care of my car and the clients car that I hit. They were not helpful at all. I ended up seeking legal advice to get situation taken care of.

Not at all the best insurance group out there. After my experience with them today i will not be renewing my service with them. I also heir Dave Ramsey recomends them but there are some things he does not know about them and i had to find out myself and that is the fact that they are crucked. I would not at all recommend them to anyone.

I have a building in Lancaster insured by Donegal. I saved a fortune but best of all the service is great. Pam my agent answers my questions. They sent in a safety guy who found a problem with my gas line and it possibly saved my buidling from a fire! I have had 2 claims and they were fair and check was sent super quick.

One of their drivers ran a stop sign and hit me. Totaled my car and I was off work for two weeks. Absolutely horrible to deal with. I have Progressive and they have been wonderful. They tell Progressive one thing and tell me something else. Liars. Now I have to get an attorney involved.
