I have used Ms. Thomas on two different occasions. The first time about seven years ago she took over the case at the last minute that was going downhill and salvaged a good part of it. I knew then, with the opposing party I was dealing with, I would be back in court again. When that time came recently there was no hesitation who I was going back too whatsoever. And I am positive I will be retaining her in the very near future. If you are looking for a "warm and fuzzy" law firm, this is not the one. If you are looking for a firm that is going to take your case, take-out all the "he said-she said" issues, and deal with just the basic facts of the case...this is where to go. If you come with some of the basic leg-work done in advance (names, addresses, chronological diary, supporting documents) it helps the firm and yourself with time and expense. As with any contentious and extremely adversarial family court matter, very rarely are they going to be easy or settle quickly. At times my case dragged but I knew it was no fault of the firm because you are dealing with opposing parties and at times the court itself. I, like some here, thought nothing was being done on my case but Ms. Thomas showed up to court and brought her "A" game. I did not win on every single item, but I was very please at the end result.

My husband hired Ms. Thomas for support and custody. When we first talked to Ms.Thomas we thought we had a lawyer that was going to fight for us, but that soon changed. He would write emails asking her questions and she would never respond. Our thought was if we are paying you, you should be answering ever question we have. Then to get charged additional every time his ex-wife would contacted her was ridiculous. When we told her exactly what he wanted she said would say "well the judge is not going to agree" and not do what we asked. Then when we went to court she would back out of what we wanted and say something else. She is a sexes lawyer who will take a woman side regardless of facts. Ms. Thomas is not a lawyer who wants to help people but instead is in it for quick cash. Ms. Thomas needs to understand that not everything is made out of money and when when your clients are paying you, you should help them in every way possible. If you want a lawyer who well defend you and support you do not hire Ms. Thomas she will use you for the money, support the opposing party and never answer none of your emails.

I hired the Thomas Law Firm for a child support case. First, my court case was in November then change to October, yes in that order. I never got an explanation why, just a show up and pay me. I asked to speak to Ms.Thomas due to an email she sent me, that I responded back to one hour later, and she send the plaintiff party a withdrawal from attorney for breach of contract one hour later. HUH? I just spoke to Ms.Thomas a hour ago by email (confuse). Although, you can explain a situation to her, she do not care or understand your situation. She just want you to jump and move when she says so. Not an understanding law firm and poor communication!!! Poor professional skills to have in this line of work!!!

I must totally agree with the positive comments & strongly disagree with the negative review. I have been associated with the TLF since 2008 & have always received excellent service. Whenever I have asked to speak with Ms. Thomas personally, she has always made herself available & taken the time to address all my questions & concerns. She has the utmost integrity & I have not been "nickeled & dimmed" to death. The fees are fair & I never felt overcharged. You must do your part in preparing for the case because the attorney/client relationship is a two-way street. I would highly recommend the TLF without any reservations.

I had an awesome experience with TLF. I had them take over my divorce, custody, and child support case from another law firm. I never once had an issue. Ms. Thomas was very professional and answered any questions I had. Her and her law firm were very prompt on answering my emails and worked very quickly to get my case over and done with. When she received my case I had already been going to court for over 6 months, with nothing accomplished. I would highly recommend TLF for anyone with these same issues. After she took over my case things were quickly getting resolved. Very happy with how everything was handled.
