I wish there was a "this is crap" rating option. This company should not be in business.. The most horrendous customer service you can possibly expect. Actually, once you reach this expectation they lower it once more. What makes matters worse is that their CEO has money and time to go on the radio to apologize for being overwhelmed with the new enrollment period but did not have funds and money to fix the problem itself. Several months later and still the same thing: hours of waiting on hold to speak to a totally unhelpful representative then you get transferred and placed on hold several times until you give up after 2 hours. I will be watching to see the quarterly profit they will post at the NYSE...all about the money.

Obtain BCBS for 2017. YTD everything is good. Deductible was updated contiguously online. All claims processed with no issues in a reasonable amount of time which is about 7-10 days. Processing deductible and claims timely and accurately is important to me. 2016 insurance with Aetna sucked - claims still not processed 6 months later. I use my in network providers. Never a hassle. Always check provider list for new providers and all has worked out well. I also confirm providers with customer service. Customer service by email is good. BCBS is one of two health insurance companies that are on the mark for processing and taking care of business. Humana is the other. Aetna was the worst insurance I had in 20 years.

Save Finn Muedder and approve Elaprase! It’s the only FDA-approved treatment for him, and he needs this until a better and more effective treatment comes along. Don’t deny him the chance to live until the next best treatment is available!

I love Blue Cross Blue Shield! Customer service was top of the line; they were polite and got straight to the point when I called them. 5/5 would definitely recommend.

I am quite disappointed also. Could not recommend them either. Rating would be below a one star from just trying to get signed up. Therefore, did not go with them.
