Failed state inspection as "emergency brake" would not hold the vehicle when car was put in drive gear (automatic car) and reverse gear, with no foot on gas paddle. Mechanic recommended $106 of additional service, for inspecting the emergency brake system (and finding what is going on / possible tightening (?) / additional costs if repairs need to be performed ). Sometimes I park the car at home, at incline (~3 degree) and did not notice problem as not in drive or reverse gear at those times. One thing which did struck was after all the additional work done by mechanic it would indeed not move when in drive mode with emergency break engaged, but now brakes were pressed all the way to the floor (aka very hard pressed, they are foot brake) which I usually do not do when parking at inclines. After repairs, pressing to the habitual extent, possibly 75%-80% way through, it would still roll a bit, so am not very sure how severe the problem was originally and to what extent it got fixed by repairs. Also some people mention online that these brakes are supposed to be self adjusting for some amount of slack in wires (not sure how that bit works but something to investigate). Also from reading some comments here it appears that one can get the car fixed elsewhere and bring it for re-test at no additional charge (do clarify details with them). Just something to watch out for when you go in for state inspection and test it at home a prior (?).

I took my vehicle in for a state inspection. The AAA mechanic told me there was an issue with the steering mechanism because there was fluid leaking from the steering rack and he could not pass it without having it fixed. I had it checked by two other places and both easily identified the fluid as engine oil leaking from a head gasket, not steering fluid leaking from the steering rack. It appears to me that AAA was trying to be charge extra for unnecessary repairs, especially since two others were easily able to tell that the fluid in question was (a) not coming from the steering rack and (b) that the fluid was engine oil and not power steering fluid. They also stated that since I was not going to have the repair done there, they would have to review the repair job before my car was passed for the state inspection. None of those things they said were true. I will not take any of my vehicles to AAA for repairs or inspections and I encourage the rest of you to do the same until they get mechanics that know better what they are doing.

If you have a European make vehicle, this is the last place in the world that you would want to take your vehicle. They do not know how to do a simple diagnostics of a vehicle. When asked a questions in regards to a so called problem with my vehicle, their technician could not explain exactly what the problem was or how to fix the so called problem. I took my vehicle into a repair facility that knows European vehicles and they confirmed that that this place did not have a clue as to what they were talking about. Their Service Writers Ken, Tim, Susan have no customer service skills. It is too bad because their location in Ballantyne is great and convenient to my home, however I will drive the extra mile for a reputable automotive repair facility to have my vehicles worked on.

Exceptional experience. Dropped my vehicle off at the appointed time for tires, battery replacement and an oil change. Their courteous and knowledgeable service adviser (Justin, if I recall correctly) made sure I understood everything that was happening, how long it would take and the estimate was to the penny. Sounds like they may have had a personnel/management issue a few years back, none of which was evident here. I like doing business with good people - and these are really good people. Nice job guys! See you again soon (but I hope not too soon!)

Took my car in for oil change and rotate tires this morning. After they were done I did ask whether they rotated the tires because they did not rotate last time. Service adviser told me in confidence that they changed oil, rotated the tires and checked the tire pressure. But I noticed that tires were not rotated (I had ball point pen mark on the front tire). Now I need to check whether they changed the oil or just kept my van for an hour and half and gave it to me without doing anything. Avoid this place and go somewhere.

These guys and gals are the best! Always super friendly and courteous. Prices are fair and they perform great work. I have been taking my cars here since it opened many years ago and have been nothing but satisfied. Just a few months ago, I had them replace the engine in my 2004 Subaru Outback. The things that really impressed me, was a week later, they mailed me check because they found that they overcharged me! I thought that was amazing! I very highly recommend!

they told me in order to pass my state inspection i had to get my powersteering belt fixed (which there was nothing wrong with it to begin with). So i let them do whatever to it in order to pass. Immediately noticed that my power steering was messed up once I got my car back, and they want to charge me again to fix what they probably sabatoged. Dont go here unless you feel like getting screwed over..

Had a 2 PM appointment for oil change ..they drove my car in at 2. and out about 2:30. Told me my brake fluid was dirty and also my power steering fluid. No high pressure to try and get the work done. Ive had concerns about them in the past but feel they may have improved things a bit. Will bring my other car in for oil change cause $20 is a good price. Will review again after this visit.

I had a heater hose blow out on my 2002 Montana van. The shop had a hard time finding a replacement, which I can understand. However, they did not contact me at any time about the delay. I had to keep calling them back to get some answers as to why my wife would be without her vehicle another day or so. However, once the part came in, the mechanic(s) installed it in good time. Thanks!

Went for new tires and alignment. My car has staggered wheels where the rear wheels are slightly wider than the front. When I received my car back the wheels had been rotated to the wrong places and it now pulls drastically to the right (did not do before the alignment). This place has no clue what they are doing.

They ended up completing my routine repair on time and satisfactorily, but they tried to change the price on me and basically said that even though I had an appointment, they work on a first come, first served basis. I guess I would like to find a car repair and service shop with integrity.

This AAA Care Car Center has always provided me excellent car service. I only prefer to go this AAA Care Car Center to get my car services. Whenever I go to another AAA Care Center I never get same level of service as I do when I go to this particular AAA Care Center.
