I had the need to refinance my home mortgage, and shopped my need to several Asheville area banks and brokers. I was very favorably impressed with friendliness of Sara Early at Plum Dog Financial. After careful analysis, it also turned out that Plum Dog offered the me the lowest overall refinancing costs. As Sara guided me through the complexities of completing the loan, I was only increasingly impressed with her calm, thorough competence and with the warmth and courtesy with which she treated me. After I provided her with my initial application information, Sara "carried the ball" completely from there to closing, with only a few phone and e-mail exchanges required to answer question along the way. Sara also advised me carefully on some of the choices I had to make and accomplished a final deal for me that definitely exceeded my expectations. I even received a cool Plum Dog coffee mug and beer glass as a closing gift. If you are in the market for a mortgage loan in the Asheville and Western NC area, I can heartily and enthusiastically recommend giving Sara and Plum Dog Financial a call. It is hard to imaging being better served.

Promises, promises... I spoke with Sarah, and gave her a detailed accounting of my current financial situation. She assured me that Plumdog could serve my needs, and told me I needed to shop no further. However after two weeks of inaction, with a reminder from me in the meantime, she informed me that my situation does not meet investor guidelines. This is false, as was verified by direct review of Freddie Mac guidelines, as well as a successful loan on the same property from a competing lender. Two weeks of wasted time may not sound like much, but when you have an impatient seller offering a great deal on a house, it matters. Chris

When she was helping us with our VA loan she took extra measures to make sure that our loan would get approved. She made sure to find out all the details during a time when the govt made big changes to the VA system, so we could buy our first house without any problems blowing up at the last minute.
