June 1, 2015 This was the worst possible company that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Tim tells half truths and they are very incompetent. Several times documents arrived with the wrong address, wrong rates and two different loan amounts. A packet of pages from Provident Funding arrived with over 20 pages of mistakes. A date of Jan. 20, 2010 appeared on a page in this packet. We had to begin all over with a new mortgage company which set our settlement date back but it was worth it, I had no confidence that Sky Financial would ever get us to the settlement table with the appropriate documentation in order. Do Not Use this company. I told him we withdrew our application both verbally and by e-mail and he called a week later to tell me my mortgage was approved and that he had submitted it b/f I cancelled. He is the biggest liar and a shady guy. Do yourself a favor go with a more reputable company.

Bait and switch all the way!!! Consumers save your time and go elsewhere. Tim VandeBunte, the broker, has offer me a low interest rates on refinancing of my loan (all of which was on paper) but did not disclose that he have not locked the rates until the end of the process at which time the rate and terms for the loan have changed. I have already paid for the appraisal out of pocket which he would not refund. I feel that this company uses bait and switch to get the consumers to sign with them. Closer to the closing dates one will find out that their rates are not competitive and even worse than others. Consumers be aware you will waste money on appraisal and get not so competitive rate. Very disappointed

Read some of the reviews, it is true that sometimes during the process of the loan application they are not able to deliver what they had promised initially, but in my experience this is due to the fact there are several variables involved in the process like credit score, interest rate fluctuations, closing cost etc.But I feel they are not "bait all the way". I have refinanced my home twice with Sky Financials and if they do not deliver what they had promised I usually call them and explain my requirements. In the end they are able to deliver to my satisfaction. Through my 2nd refinance, I have a very good interest rate on a 15 year term. :)

Great experience! I have nothing but good things to say about working with Sky Financial to secure my mortgage in order to buy my first house. Tim and Kiara (the Loan Processor who was my main contact) were both very easy to work with in terms of professionalism, availability, and efficiency. I always knew the status of my application with the lender throughout the process thanks to Tim/Kiara. This is something I really appreciated since the turnaround time for closing was very quick. Sky Financial definitely provides the best rates in the area as well. I would highly recommend the company to anyone looking for a mortgage.

Tim and his team @SkyFinancial did a wonderful job in getting me the best mortgage rate and good savings. I will definitely recommend sky financials to my friends and family. Being a first time home buyer, I had to go back and do my research after every conversation with their team. But Tim was kind enough to address all those concerns and the whole process was smooth. The key was patience. My only recommendation for their team is to provide customers with a basic checklist and some references about the whole process before hand.

i worked with sky financial in March 2015 , these guys are the best. never had any issues with the entire mortgage process. highly recommended, professional, Tim and Kiara are awesome and they work late every day and which was very helpful for me because of my work. Prompt response on phone and to the emails , Tim and kiara very good in explain in detail with all the process. If you are in NJ and PA, these guys offer lowest rates . i did my homework for almost 2 weeks in NJ and these guys offers best rates.

Tim and Kiera at Sky Financial were very helpful getting my refinance approved. There was an issue from an out of business lender who did not clear an old lien. They were very dilligent in getting this cleared to complete the loan. They got us a very low rate on our loan. I have used them before and I would use them again.

remortgagers beware! bait and switch for sure. what was promised at first sitting changed a whole half of a point percent the day of closing. they gave some lame excuse of the rate given initially not being locked in. no other lenders ever heard of such a thing happening. im extremely upset! very bad business!
