Kansas Counselors go above and beyond in order to help out their community. They recently partnered up with Harvesters in order to stop hunger in their community. Their employees were recently challenged to pick up as many food and household products as they could within a 60-day time period, each time they went shopping. Their employees took this task very seriously, and dedicated their entire 60 days to doing just that. Once their time was up, those items were collected and sent over to Harvesters to add to their collection. It’s rare to see such a dedicated and compassionate staff, but Kansas Counselors really do go above and beyond. Working together as a team is very important, and those at KCI show just how successful you can be when you do just that. I had the pleasure of working with them recently, and found all of their staff to be friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated. Their prices are affordable, and they do really good work. I would not hesitate to recommend such an amazing company, filled with kind hearted people and excellent workmanship.

They hassled me for over 6 months trying to collect payment on a doctor visit I did not owe. I sent them proof via my explanation of benefits twice that showed I did not owe any money on the claim but they said that someone in their "front office" reviewed it and they stated that it showed I owed money. On my statement there was a column that said "your responsibility" for the claim and it said zero but I guess to KCI that means that I do in fact owe. It took calling my insurance company to contact KCI before they believed that I did not owe anything. Meanwhile, this company was reporting negatively to the credit bureaus for this dispute when in fact I owed nothing. One particular representative who was male that I talked to on 10/20/14 and 10/21/14 was extremely unhelpful and rude and claimed he was "only trying to help me". He was just trying to make money, not help me. Horrible place to contact and deal with.

I received a notification from credit reporting agencies that I had received a negative mark in collections from Kansas Counselors. I called them immediately. They were not reasonable nor rational. I explained that the bill in question was just shy of 6 years old and PAID by my insurance over 3 1/2 years ago. When I asked why this is the first I have heard from them, they claimed they sent me one letter by mail, as per their legal requirements... Which was evidently sent to the wrong address. They have me an old address that I was not even living at when the original debt occurred. Because they were uncooperative, even in the light of the information I offered them regarding the invalidity of the debt they seek to claim, I will enjoy making them waste their time trying to double collect a paid debt from me.

Kansas Counselors out of Lenexa is out of control breaking collections laws not abiding by the fair credit reporting act and treating people like victims and have stepped out of fair business practice and And beware someday this maybe you spending months explaining the same story over and over and then your hit with a company like Kansas Counselors with NO regard to honest business practice and your credit scores are ruined and you will think about this complaint I am filing and why I am doing it. Kansas Counselors Inc. has been a lifesaver for my company. Got calls from this organization or ficticious company and when I returned their call they would not say what they were calling about. I am on the "DO NOT CALL LIST" and I wonder why this marketing firm is calling my number over and over? This should be illegal.

Someone needs to look into this company. They hold a $100 collection on me that has prevented me from getting student loans that should not exist. I will be contacting them, but this debt should not exist.
